For the final part of our brand refresh work for Ouch! Body Piercing, Head of Film Simon, visited their studio in Truro to capture beautiful photographs of the new shop interiors and piercing services.

Using soft focus foregrounds, Simon has incorporated the updated brand aesthetics into these images which will be used on Ouch’s soon-to-be-launched website and across all marketing channels.

Being able to use the combined skills of our design team and film team on a project like this always produces work we are really proud of. Kate, Yestin and Simon have worked together to ensure Ouch! can walk away with brand assets and photography that a has real consistency which they can apply to all of their outputs.

As part of our brand refresh work for Body Piercing, Kate - our Senior Graphic Designer - showcased their piercing services and jewellery in line with the new branding by creating these custom illustrations.

Using soft, continuous lines with accents from the new colour palette, Kate created beautiful drawings that enhance the brand’s new lighter, flowing look.

Ouch wanted to shift away from using darker colours and their tattoo-inspired aesthetic to embrace a softer look with an updated colour palette - complete with a new logo, fresh colours, beautiful photography, social media templates and custom illustration!

I’m dreaming of a Redruth Christmas…

Copywriter Dan said “let’s put them in a snowglobe”, Senior Designer Kate said “hmmm not sure”, then “actually that works” and it looks great! Here it is, the Redruth Christmas single cover for the Buttermarket’s charity Christmas single in collaboration with Hedluv + Passman - such a great project to end the year on for the Idenna team.

The Buttermarket’s Christmas single launched last week and we are proud to have been a part of it.

It’s a creative agency (Copy Lead Dan’s) dream come true - we have been working on a Christmas single!

The charity single “Redruth Christmas” was made in collaboration with local comedy rap duo Hedluv + Passman for the recently opened The Buttermarket Redruth

Dan’s lightbulb moment was the idea of shooting a music video at the Buttermarket and it snowballed from there. A Christmas single was the natural progression, so Dan called in local legends Hedluv + Passman.

We got to work organising film and photo shoots for a festive single cover (obsessed) and music video. Simon had a great day shooting the music video with a bit of 90s fish-eye inspiration to make it extra stylish.

The Rattler Christmas advert was a campaign success!

We set the target of reaching 1 million views before Christmas. Our campaigns team distributed the ad and through a combination of strategic paid advertising and organic reception from audiences on social media, we hit that target in the first week of December.

It’s a great example of a brand really knowing their audience, Jen at Rattler wanted to produce something that highlighted the brand’s Cornish roots, spoke to their core fans and was fun, just like Rattler! Idenna led the production and digital distribution, producing something that brings a little slice of Cornwall to the rest of the country!

Behind the scenes of the Rattler Christmas ad shoot:

This was a technical, one-day shoot for the Idenna film team; a chance for them to test their skills and put their problem solving hats on.

We had to shoot a lot of the footage day for night to improve the visibility of the Rattler branding and collaborated with Engine House to light up the famous ‘coming home trees’ and North Coast Electric to practically illuminate the lorry.

The Idenna team had a great evening at the Heligan Night Garden, walking amongst the magical light displays which illuminate the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

As part of our work with the Great Gardens of Cornwall, we've enjoyed crafting campaigns that bring the stories of these amazing places to life. Rebecca from our Words team wrote a series of blogs for the Behind The Gardens campaign, where she immersed herself in the history and the legacies of the beautiful gardens.
