Last weekend I got to play my first doof!
So 4 months back I set myself the goal to learn to DJ but also to perform in front of a crowd by the end of the year. I spent a lot of time hunting for tunes but also practicing my mixing skills. It wasn’t long before I had the chance to play a couple of small parties which was awesome. I have always been a massive music lover but playing in front of a crowd at a doof was a little nerve wracking for me. Playing at LOCKWOOD 2021 gave me a huge confidence boost as the crowd went wild for my set and I also received so much great feedback.
This post was partly to spread the word of this little dream of mine but also to thank all the amazing people that have supported me along the way. To my uncle Nigel for inspiring me. To all the legends I have met in Tasmania who have given me advice and the opportunity to perform (Martyn Tuttle, Oliver Pybus, Gibbo Oo & Richard Tebb). To my wonderful rainbow Queen Ebony Jenkins and Atlas for putting up with all the household bass. And finally to anyone who’s had a boogie to my tunes.
I will be playing at Phoenix Rising...New Years 2021 so watch this space and keep the bass pumping🤘
