My name is Reuben Mowle, I am a film maker, Photographer, Entrepreneur & Musician.
I am 25 years old. I’ve had an interesting journey in my career so far.
I started as a musician studying with Chichester uni learning about commercial music, at uni I performed and recorded music with several different projects. My band and I needed a music video, but as students we were on a shoe string budget. So after having a bit of experience with creating and editing memes on the internet (Not my proudest moment) I decided to give creating a music video a go.
At the time I thought the music video I had made was the best thing since sliced bread. But looking back it was pretty bad. But it fired up a passion inside of my for making films.
So I went and filmed many more music videos of my friends at uni. Before I knew it I was inundated with music video requests.
My friend Joe (who at the time was a wedding photographer) said I should give wedding films a go, I thought that sounded awful. I pictured those really terrible traditional wedding videos that my parents had. But after a little research I realised that you could make incredibly creative and cinematic wedding films.
So I gave it a bash under a business name called Glass House Productions. Since then I have filmed and photographed many weddings both on the Isle of Wight, Bath, London, Iceland and in the South of France. I am excited to go to new destinations such as Scotland & Tuscany + many more in the coming year.
In 2017 my business partner Charlie Fennimore joined and shared the business with me. We had an amazing 4 years creating content and films as Glass House Productions. These were some of the very best years of my life. We worked with some massive companies, went to some amazing weddings and threw the biggest birthday party the Isle of Wight has ever seen.
However in 2019 Charlie decided that he needed to spread his wings and leave the GHP nest. I totally respected Charlie’s choice, I encouraged him in every step he took in he new career path. Myself and Charlie are still great friends and I couldn’t be happier that he has picked his happiness and his own freedom over a job. Big up Fennimore, I love ya.
However it did leave me in a bit of a predicament, what choice was I going to make?
The very first thing I did when Charlie told me he was leaving was ring Matt from Nosy design. Matt and I have been great friends since I met him at a Linkedin Local. I have a mutual respect for mat as a business owner and as a photographer and Videographer.
Nosy Design’s videographer had conveniently handed in his notice just prior to me ringing Matt and telling him what would happened.
So Matt and the Nosy team kindly made me an offer of a job and collaborative effort with both of our businesses. So that’s what I did. I decided that I wanted to work in a team and not by myself, I decided that the best thing for me would be to join a rapidly growing business and fuse our efforts together to create something amazing.
Matt and I agreed that Nosy design was not a company to handle wedding films or Photos, so I am carrying on with those under a personal brand ‘Reuben Mowle’ Hence the page.
Now I am at the start of a new adventure, I am excited to grow and learn more with Nosy Design, Weddings and Freelance formula. Thank you for reading and thank you to all those whom have ever supported me. I sincerely appreciate it.
God Bless, Reuben
