HELLO!! BEEN A WHILE HASN'T IT
I'm just here peddling my wares.

I run a zine distro called TIPSY RAT PRESS where I cover a variety of topics. Abve you can see the zines I've already released as well as the upcoming zines!

RAT LIFE LESSONS - A zine documenting the lives and activities of my rats, their personalities, their care, and what they taught me along the way.

TOILET GRAFFITI - A to-be series documenting the toilet graffiti of various venues aboot the toon. The first issue, THE LUBBER FIEND, focuses on the DIY venue of the same name.

FACE MELTAAA - A bi-series zine where the 'odds' focus on the history of crust punk and its bands around the world, and the 'evens' focus on the current-day scene primarily in the North-East of England, but also internationally.

TRANS LIBERATION OR TRANSPHOBE DESTRUCTION - A zine looking at transgender experience pretty generally. This issue focuses on trans-masculinity and TERFism in particular, with future issues looking into trans-femininity and the state of being nonbinary.

Volume 3 of RAT LIFE LESSONS and volume 2 of FACE MELTAAA are in-progress. ON THAT NOTE, if anyone outstanding for interview for FACE MELTAAA could get those to me, that would be great! Still no real deadline, but you know. Gotta werk

TRANS LIBERATION OR TRANSPHOBE DESTRUCTION is finally completed. The release date is July 21st, the day before Northern Pride (where both me & Zombi will be in the march on Saturday!)

I've provided a summary of the whole zine on the product page. This zine is looking at the trans masc experience in particular.

I would like to do further issues about trans fem people and various non binary folks - so more collabs are possible!

so, here's a picture of holly. she wants you to know that there's a free digi zine available on the 16th, a transgender zine coming in hot on the 21st, and the second issue of FACE MELTAAA whenever people send me back interview answers instead of restraining order documents.

as some of you may, ro may not, have known, TIPSY RAT PRESS is operated entirely by rats.

today we have to lose two of our oldest press-ers, CLEMENTINE and LILY. they had a very good run here at the press, and are still in good spirits, but we are aware it's getting on a bit and it wouldn't be very long until their quality of life diminishes.

so, we give a big goodbye to these two lovely (big, very big) girls, who have had a very spoiled past few days (and lives if we're honest). the press still has four little monsters working behind the scenes, but m without these two to put then right... well, it'll be a nice surprise when something gets published in the next 50 years.

Azfixxia-Punk HxC

Dedicated to the punk community and anyone who might be interested.
As you know, a couple of weeks ago we started a tour in Europe that didn't start in the best way. We had some problems in Barcelona, the concerts in France were cancelled, thanks to the help of Juan, Luna, Esteban and other friends from Barcelona we were able to leave for Gdansk in Poland, unfortunately when we arrived at the main bus station we met two guys who clearly had extreme right wing ideologies, they didn't allow us to leave the bus station with the help of the damn police, this, the delay of the bus and some failures in it caused that we couldn't play in Gdansk and that same night these guys took us by force out of this town. Our next concert was on Sunday in Toruń, so, without money, we decided to start walking to Toruń with the hope that the hitchhiking would work, in the other Polish towns and cities they took us out for the simple fact of being Colombians, the stores and their people never collaborated, they only made derogatory comments, spitting and so on, along the way several guys chased us in their cars, motorcycles, bicycles just to tell us that we were not Colombians, After walking for two days, we were 16 kilometers away from toruń where we were finally able to contact Evelina, a magnificent person who helped us with her friend Magdalena and so we were able to reach toruń in the early hours of Sunday morning.
This communication is directed especially to all those people who have been concerned about how we are, to all those who have supported us and those who want to do it, we have no words to thank everything they have done, we also want to inform that we are doing a raffle of part of the fair we have if anyone wants to help us to return to Barcelona.
Now we are in Berlin Germany and we have a concert here tomorrow, on Wednesday it will be Bremen and on Thursday Lübeck, the other dates in the different countries are cancelled.
F**k all their fu***ng ideas of racial supremacy, their xenophobia, their fu***ng fascist and racist ideas, f**k the police complicity and f**k all the fu***ng n**i people and communities in the world.
F**k the pan-Polish youth, f**k the radical nationalist camp, f**k ONR-Falanga, we will never forget this moment, eternal hatred to your whole N**i community.

Currently, volume 2 of FACE MELTAAA is well underway!

I'm working on bringing great word from Sweden (... again ...) by way of .swe and .swe as well as having a wee look at an EP as the local feature. There's a show review at the end of this one regarding PHYSIQUE, and MOTIVE visiting the Lubber Fiend.

And, when everything's all sorted and I bother to send the questions over, we'll have a sweet little interview with friends of the distro, and the reason I keep talking about Sweden, !

Recently, I traded some zines with PRIVATE SCANDAL (privatescandal.bigcartel.com). Both zines look at the Japanese side of things, an area I'm quite lacking knowledge in, and I'm sure many others are. I feel like a new world has opened! Lots of new (to me!) bands to get my ears round.

I'm happy to say they're in my rapidly expanding collection.
