XR SLAMM is a UK Rap and Hip/Hop group who formed in the 1989 by 2 school friends.

They wrote about social issue, growing up, racial tension and other issues that were effecting then whilst navigating high school trying to make sense of it all!

After leaving school in 1992 the group drifted apart but now after 32 years XR SLAMM are back with their brand new single "STOP THE HATE" written over the weekend about the unrest that is sweeping the country currently.

Recording has started and we hoping to get the track finished very soon and released!

BIG NEWS!!!

We have been quiet over the last couple of months but for good reason.

We will be opening our brand new recording/production studio "Beyond Records - Studio 194" in February 2024!

The studio is fully soundproofed, air conditioned, separate control room, separate Live Room and small reception which further separates from the outside world!

This is an existing recording studio, which has been professionally built and is a better option than the project we were working on, which is fantastic as this puts us a couple of years ahead of where we would have been.

We are now taking bookings, contact [email protected] to book or for more information.

Once we take possession we will share some photos and videos with you all.

We will also be taking bookings for our various workshops very soon.

Beyond Music Academy NE is now on social media & Patreon.

This is something we have been thinking about for at least the last 15 years and is a big part of what we are working towards to make music more accessible/inclusive to everyone regardless of the area you live in or your background.

Beyond Music Academy will focus on young adults from underfunded areas and offer funded places at our academy for hands on teaching in Music Technology (Recording, programming music, music lessons & singing tuition to name a few)

Places will be funded by donations, funding applications & a small number of paid places.
We are aiming to offer 70% minimum funded places to young adults from underfunded areas and 30% maximum paid places to young people from better funded areas.

We are working on a number of practical programs & workshops for young adults that want to get involved in music, from recording, programming music, writing songs, performing and much more.

You can keep up to date by liking and sharing the Beyond Music Academy page so we can grow and spead awareness.

Also if you would like to support us with a small monthly donation which will go towards getting the Academy up and running, funding places and helping us bring through the next generation of North East, artists, producers, recording engineers and more.
