let me tell you the story of Makina Arena…

During lockdown, like us all, I got bored and always had a love for Makina. I started a TikTok account and started screen recording some of the MCs and DJs. To me the rave scene started to reignite during lockdown with everyone doing live streams, leading onto the launch of multiple events when we started to get normality back.

All I ever wanted to do was promote the scene ❤️

It started with screen recordings, then I moved onto capturing my own content via my phone, then I slowly started to learn how to edit videos (looking back now some of them are horrific 🤣). I then started to get booked to come to events and purchased a camera, a gimbal and a now I have much better lens.

Fast forward to today:

I have multiple events that I work with
Some belta friends from within the scene
46k followers on TikTok
26k on FB

I have never boosted a single post or paid for an ad. The page has grown through organic following.

I am humble enough to know there are better cameras out there than mine and better editors but you can’t find anyone who loves the music and the North East rave scene so much ❤️

Some days I wake up think I’ve had enough, other days I wants to spend 10k on a new camera and open a studio 🙈🤣

I’ve got 4 kids and a very demanding job, this is a hobbie but I fu***ng love it 🔥

Thank you to everyone who has followed me, everyone who has booked me for anything and anyone that gives me the motivation to keeping doing it 🙏🏻

The life and times of Kev Kelly aka MC Techno T will soon be available to buy on paperback… full details to follow as soon as we receive them.

Hopefully we will have them in time for the massive Colosseum gig on October 5th. If not, then definitely in time before Christmas!

A kindle edition and audiobook will also follow probably early in the New Year.
