Content planning gets simpler when you know exactly who you’re talking to.

When I first started my business, I tried to speak to everyone. I worried that being too specific would limit who I could help.

But the opposite happened. The less clear I was about who my posts were for, the harder content became. It felt generic and hard to write.

Everything became easier when I decided to speak specifically to introverted business owners:

👉 I instantly had more clarity and confidence in what to share.

👉 Content felt simpler and easier to plan.

👉 I knew exactly who I was writing to, and what they needed from me.

The more clearly you define who your content is for, the easier it is to create.

Being clear doesn’t limit your reach. It actually makes your message stronger, clearer and more engaging.

A lot of Instagram advice assumes you’re starting from a place of confidence and capacity.

Or that you already feel comfortable on camera, have the time to post several times a week and know exactly what to say.

But for many of my clients that’s not the reality.

They’re building confidence as they go and they want a way of showing up that doesn’t ask them to be someone they’re not.

👆These are some of the values I come back to in my work, especially with clients who are introverted, thoughtful and trying to build something that actually feels sustainable.

If showing your face doesn’t feel comfortable yet, we’ll look at other ways to add personality and connection.

If you’re not sure what to post, we’ll work through what you want Instagram to support and how to share that clearly.

If you’ve been told you’re not doing enough, we’ll gently reframe that and find a way forward that’s realistic and consistent.

Confidence doesn’t grow from pressure. It grows from support, clarity and doing things in a way that works for *you*.

That’s the kind of approach I offer.

Kind, practical support to help you use Instagram in a way that works for your energy, your business and your goals.

♥ If this is the kind of approach that feels right for you, you’re very welcome to follow along.

Sometimes I take myself back to the early days of using Instagram for my business.

It would get to 8pm and I’d feel this wave of panic if I hadn’t posted anything.

I’d then scramble to put something together because I thought I HAD to be posting every day.

Looking back, I can see how exhausting that was.

And it didn’t make my content better, just more rushed and less meaningful.

Now, I know that consistency isn’t about showing up constantly.

It’s about finding a structure that supports your business and your energy, not one that drains it.

One thoughtful post a week with a clear purpose can be far more effective than five you don’t even feel good about because you ‘panic posted.’

Have you ever found yourself posting out of pressure, not purpose?

It’s easy to feel disheartened when a post gets low engagement, especially if you’ve put thought and effort into it.

But low engagement doesn’t always mean your post wasn’t valuable.

It might have helped someone see what you offer more clearly or made them feel more confident that you’re the right person to help them. It might be the reason they come back to your page next week when they’re ready to take that next step.

Visibility builds gradually. Some posts prompt a reply while others build trust in the background.

Both have a purpose.

If it felt worth posting, it probably was. Even if the numbers don’t show it straight away.

✨ Save this post for the days when your content feels like it’s not being seen.

When you’re unclear about why you’re posting or how Instagram fits into your business, content can quickly become overwhelming.

You don’t need lots of new ideas and you don’t need to post every single day.

Instead, try these three simple prompts (⬆️) next time you’re stuck. They can help make content planning and creation easier.

If you’d like calm, tailored support to simplify Instagram for your business, that’s exactly what we can cover in an Instagram One-to-One:

✨ 90-minute Zoom session, guided by what you need help with right now
✨ Personalised 14-day content plan included
✨ £99 until 31 August (£149 after)
✨ Book now for your September session at the lower price

Are you not sure what Instagram is actually doing for your business?

That’s one of the first things I help clients get clear on, because when you know what you want Instagram to support, everything else becomes easier to plan,

You don’t always need a full strategy to feel more focused.

But you do need a sense of direction and a way of showing up that feels sustainable.

Here are some of things we often cover in a One-to-One session:

✨ What do you want Instagram to support this month? Enquiries, connection or visibility?

✨ What kind of content feels easiest to create right now? Simple posts? Reels? Stories?

✨ What would your current audience find useful, helpful or reassuring today?

These questions often lead to simple, purposeful content, and that’s usually the kind that works best.

If you’d like some support working through this, my Instagram One-to-One sessions are 90 minutes of personalised, calm guidance.

They’re £149 from 1 September but £99 if you book now, even if your session takes place in September.

👉 DM me “121” to book

P.S. Book before September and you’ll get a 14-day personalised content plan too

I’m delivering a Lunch & Learn session this Thursday with Berkshire Growth Hub. It's all about using Instagram in a way that feels clear, manageable and actually supports your business.

The session is called Instagram for Business: Simple, Sustainable Strategies That Work, and it’s especially for business owners who aren’t sure where to start, or who feel like they’re putting effort in without seeing much back.

We’ll cover:
• how to make your profile work harder for you
• what kind of content to focus on (without needing to post every day)
• how to build engagement in a steady, genuine way

Whether you’re just getting started or trying to get more consistent, you’ll leave with practical, realistic next steps. And more confidence in how to make Instagram work for you.

🗓 Thursday 19 June
🕧 12:30–1:30pm

If you’re struggling with content planning, try starting with this question:

What do I want Instagram to support this month?

That question alone can shift how you plan.

If you’re focused on filling a few 1:1 slots, your content will look different to someone who’s introducing a new offer or reconnecting with existing followers.

You don’t need to cover everything. You just need to know what you want your content to help with right now.

Once that’s clear, it becomes easier to decide what to say, what to share and what can wait.

✨ Save this for when you’re planning next month’s posts.
