Trading Standards officers are looking to recruit volunteers (aged 15-17) to assist with undercover purchasing of age restricted products, such as vapes, fireworks and alcohol. The work will take place out of school hours throughout the year and be conducted under Officer supervision.

Due to the nature of this work, our Officers will discuss fully with the volunteers and their parents/guardians, the nature and implications of the work to be carried out. A full briefing and training will then be given to all successful candidates.

Many volunteers use the work they do with us to assist them in finding part time jobs or as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Awards. We also provide references for College and University applications.

11th January 2025 from 12-4pm at Burghfield Village Hall

We will have over 300+ Dresses size 6-22 at affordable prices with all funds helping us with a February Wish.

Wedding Dresses will be £75-£150
Prom & long Evening Dresses will be £25 each
All other dresses will be £10 each

Is volunteering on your agenda this year? This Fair showcases lots of local organisations that could really use your help.

Over 50 organisations are joining us for our Volunteer Fair! Could you volunteer for one of the following?

🟣 Based at West Berkshire Hospital, Patient Information Point - WBCH has a team of volunteers who provide information and assistance to patients and staff.

🟠 Join the volunteer team at Read Easy West Berkshire, a charity which teaches adults who cannot read or have difficulty reading.

🟣 Newbury Rotary Club believe that friendships are the basis upon which we can work together to bring about change for the better in the community. Rotary volunteers support with a wide range of activities locally.

🟠 Could you help the local branch of the RSPCA? RSPCA North Wiltshire and Newbury District Branch have charity shops in Newbury and Thatcham (RSPCA North Wilts Newbury & Thatcham Shop)

V365 takes place on Saturday 11th January at the Corn Exchange, Newbury.
