I am appearing at Artfuls 7pm to 9pm on Fri.17th Feb.
I will be performing some of my own blues tunes, Leadbelly blues and a few original Folk songs from the last album.

In the last few days I've enjoyed visiting some new local businesses
The Modern Boulangerie restaurant, The Botega Book Store and The Wooden Box Cafe.
There are many others, of course.

I've been self employed most of my adult life.
Its tough getting a business off the ground.
My businesses were always up and down, it takes persistency, determination and ...a lot of money !!
So my sincere best wishes go out to all of those new brave entrepreneurs in Ramsgate who have invested heavily their time and effort and savings.
They are bringing life back to our High St and town in general.Keep going !!

North Shields Fish Quay is a fishing port located close to the mouth of the River Tyne, in North Shields.
Tonight I will sing my song, The Geordie Trawlerman for my mother and my Geordie family.
I will also pay tribute to Alan Hull the genius Lindisfarne song writer from the North East and cover some of his songs.

Niema Ash has published a book called Nomad girl.
We have met up a few times and since swapped her book for my album, "Boy on a beach."
I was fascinated by her stories and we meet and chat about my music and her life, we have become good friends.
The story of how she first met Bob Dylan when he played at her folk club, the Finjan in Montreal. Others who then followed, Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee and John Lee Ho**er.
And her intriguing long term friendship with Leonard Cohen and how they met up every Christmas to celebrate.
