'This course has been one of the most fun educational experiences I’ve ever been on, and the luxury of it being free made it all feel surreal and ‘too good to be true’ at first. However, it has not been, and far from it. I gathered lots of connections, lots of skills and lots of opportunities to advance my pre-existing skills'. From a learner at Film Academy Milton Keynes'

I have completed my review of articles in the field on 'AI in Education' (AIED). Although I only reviewed six articles one of them was a review of more than 400 articles and another was a review of 47 articles. I feel the scope of the articles provided the required bird's eye view of the field to allow me to reach relevant, actionable conclusions about AIED in the UK right now.

Thus my conclusions were:

The language by authority figures and organisations regarding AIED must be more balanced to enable people to be less trepidatious of using AIED:

There must be training provided to educators on the types of tools available and this must be ongoing to ensure their skills are updated:

Policy makers and government must create the rules and regulations within which EdTech companies must operate which could include accreditation. This will create confidence for users and assure authorities of the safety of the tools being used. These policies must be produced as a matter of urgency to streamline design and use of AIED:

Stakeholders such as educators, designers, policy makers, parents, young people must all be in constant communication to ensure effective provision of AIED tools:

The pedagogical framework within which AIED is designed and used should move towards the inclusion of other frameworks such as constructivist and transformative learning methods:

The context within which AIED is designed must take cognisance of social, cultural, economic and political contexts within which they are used:

Learning institutions like universities are slow in developing a robust response to the abuse of AI, like plagiarism, within their institutions and efforts must be stepped up to create and develop policy and practice for AIED. Consideration must be given to holding vivas or in person exams for students:

Finally, there is an urgent requirement for research on the impact of AIED in terms of how users respond to it psychologically, mentally, intellectually, emotionally and so on. In the review of all the literature none of them provided any information on the impact of AIED on the learner and several of them call for this research to take place.

My review of 'Storytelling in the Age of Artificial Intelligence' by Ali Khosh is complete and can be read on my blog here: https://www.nanaoguntola.me/.../a-review-of-storytelling...
Following the reviews I just completed on the Council of Europe's report and the Department of Education's call for evidence, this was an easier and lighter read.
This article by Ali Khosh was written in 2017 so it provides a hindsight look at how AI in storytelling was viewed. Most of what was seen as novel then are now common place. The only thing that stood out and continues to be a thread in the literature I have reviewed so far is the expectation that AI would be a leveler and reduce inequalities which it has not accomplished and remains challenged to do so.

The article is a basic but helpful overview for anyone interested in how people used and predicted the use of AI in storytelling.
