A MAJOR search and rescue operation is under way in the Pembroke Dock and Pennar areas this evening as emergency services look for 48-year-old Lee, who has been reported missing and is feared to have entered the water near the Pennar estuary.
Lee, who is from Cardigan, was last seen at around 5:00pm on Saturday (December 13) on CCTV in Pembroke Dock. He was travelling on foot and wearing a blue/grey Christmas jumper, a red hat, dark trousers and light trainers. Police say he is 5ft 10in, of medium build, with short light-brown hair and short facial hair. He is also known to travel by train.
Officers from Dyfed-Powys Police issued a public appeal earlier today and say they are now increasingly concerned for his welfare.
HM Coastguard teams and the local RNLI lifeboat have been searching the Pennar and Waterway areas throughout the afternoon. A rescue helicopter from Cornwall (RAF St Mawgan/Cornwall Airport) arrived shortly after 6pm to join the operation, which remains ongoing.
Conditions are described as cold, wet and windy, with visibility deteriorating ahead of an amber weather warning for heavy rain, which comes into force at 4:00am on Monday, December 15. The Met Office has warned of dangerous conditions including flooding and fast-flowing water across Pembrokeshire.
Police are urging anyone who may have seen Lee, or who has information on his whereabouts, to contact them immediately.
