Mostimes the person you are hating on doesn’t even know you are bitter about something they did so why hurt twice? Move on.

Omo I just remember one time I pronounced lingerie the way it is spelt. Every single person there started to laugh at me and me I was just looking at them surprised at what they were laughing at.

I mean nothing I said was supposed to be funny. One particular guy amongst them laughed so hard, I was so pi**ed and I had to ask him what was funny and he said they were laughing because of how I pronounced lingerie. I asked him how he was pronounced and he said (Lungere). I was like ooh I didn’t know that. I felt embarrassed but summoned courage to say you should have just corrected me instead of laughing at me now.. mtchew.

What was more annoying to me was the fact that I have always known the correct pronunciation of the word but on that particular day, for some reason it just left my brain and I decided to pronounce it the way I did. English is not my father’s language that’s the consolation I gave myself.

But na wa ooh, english people too do ooh.

I woke up to an A in a summer University course I took amidst busy schedules, and tiredness from constant picking of shifts (I don’t have so much choice on this one yet, so it’s a must).

The comment I got from my tutor is everything because I wrote this in two nights, I knew I wouldn’t fail the course because with my 1 and half year being in a UK university, it’s ok to say that I have mastered the do’s and don’ts of academic writing. For my other courses, I use to be so sure I would get an A but for this one, I wasn’t and couldn’t care much about it. So you can imagine how happy I am seeing I got an 89.

This means I will be getting back my £50 tuition fee for the course cos when I applied, I was told that as a student of the University, who will be going further with a 60credit unit course in September, I will get my money back if I passed.

Call me scholar Precious, it is my bragging right.

I am putting this out here for when I get that 90. At this point my literature review is stressing the hell of me but not to worry, I have told the Holyspirit and he is helping me out with it already, one step at a time. I haven’t done this sort of research work before seeing how different the UK style is from what I am use to in Nigeria, so you can understand when I say this is totally new to me and a tad bit difficult. On my way to work and I almost missed my train by a whisker. I ran like my life depended on it and when I finally sat down, I was panting like a dog. It’s the way people were looking at me and the bombastic side eyes I gave them. Is it not my panting?

I successfully tried all the rides at Flamingo land and I am here to say never again my soul almost jumped out of my mouth. I tried the Sik ride, Hero ride, Mumbo Jumbo and I think the scariest for me was the clif hanger ride. See if you don’t have mind don’t try any of these rides it’s no joke.
