Morning All. It's my Sunday Lunch Themed Show today. Recently, the Belmont Transmitter on the Lincolnshire Wolds celebrated 60 years of broadcasting. It was once the tallest structure in Europe, but after the digital switchover the analogue sections were removed, so now it is the 2nd tallest UK structure. It now transmits Freeview and DAB radio, as well as smart meter information as far as Scarborough in the north to North Norfolk in the south.
So, today's theme is all about Radio and Television Broadcasting. Suggestions below, please, and as usual the more obscure and tenuous the better and I'll be back on air and online from noon for two hours of your Radio Records and your Television Tunes.
The Belmont transmitter in the Lincolnshire Wolds was switched on in December 1965.
