The Importance of Colours - Massimo Cozzi course: How to Use Blender to Become a 3D Visual Artist
http://bit.ly/3d-visual-artist
Wow! How much there is to say about colour
and how little so many artists know about it.
Some even think that knowing the theory
may slow down or interfere with creativity.
For us,
3D Visual Artists,
that sounds a bit like saying
I don't have to know
how to use BLENDER
to make my 3D art.
Can you imagine?
Good luck!
Listen carefully to this short video
to find out how important it is to know
how colours work on you
and on others.
To start with...
Colour comes from light.
Without light
there is no colour.
On that,
watch also my other short video
on the importance of light.
So...
The light hitting an object
gets partially absorbed
depending on its colour.
The remaining part is then reflected
and transmitted to the chromatic receptors
inside the human eye.
They convert this light
into impulses
that run through the nerve pathways
until they reach the brain.
The brain then interprets them...
And so...
a chromatic perception is born.
As you can see,
from the biological point of view
the colour is generated in the eye of the observer
and conjures up a sensory impression.
You might wonder...
“Why do I need to know… all this stuff?”
Well...
You must know,
if you haven’t realised yet,
that distinct colours
can generate different sensations.
And this is where you,
as a Visual Artist,
must put your attention.
Because…
Colours equal emotions.
Emotions that start from you,
that you want to convey...
Or emotions that you wish to arise in others.

Light designs the spaces. It allows us to see objects.
It gives them shapes and colours. Light creates atmospheres,
conveys character to places and arouses emotions within us.
This happens in everyday life...
continuously.
It may be a natural source
like a radiant sunlight,
a shimmering moonlight,
the glow of a few shining stars
or the artificial brightness of a lamp
on a piece of furniture.
As far as we know...
The first to study light
were the Ancient Greeks.
One of their theories was that
our eyes emit a kind of fluid
that affects the objects around us
and then comes back to the eyes!
Even if that's not quite how it works...
I like to interpret this theory
in our favour.
Metaphorically speaking...
It’s your creative fluid that affects the objects
and comes back as an artistic idea.
Ancient Greeks…
Nice work!
Professional artists know
how the light performs
and they use it to communicate.
Do not simply believe that
it’s only the result of instinct
or the improvisation of a creative gesture...
There is craft behind all of this.
For us, 3D Visual Artists,
light is a fundamental element of a composition.
Light can be the brush that paints the shapes.
Light can even become the only protagonist.
Then...
If you have already worked on some 3D projects,
and, so far, thought about the light
usually at the end of your creative process...
Well…
Now it's time to think differently,
to do something new...
and broaden your artistic possibilities.
Are you ready to be enlightened?

From node to node - Massimo Cozzi course: How to Use Blender to Become a 3D Visual Artist
http://bit.ly/3d-visual-artist
From Node to Node.
What kind of nodes am I talking about?
I’m talking about the node systems
that BLENDER provides you with
to create your works as a 3D Visual Artist.
And how can nodes help you?
First of all…
Nodes are tools
that allow you to do more...
in less time.
Good!
When you use nodes,
it’s as if you’re programming
without having to know HOW...
Without paying attention to the code
at all!
Thanks to nodes,
you can create and modify materials,
geometries and particles...
all in just a few clicks.
For this reason,
node systems are gaining popularity
at a rapid pace.
The thing I like about
the node systems in Blender...
is that you can easily experiment
and try out new combinations
with amazing results.
Enjoy cruising
from node to node
to get to your 3D work of art!

The Art of Seeing.
The majority of people
are certain of what they see.
Some take pride in being careful observers
and having a photographic memory.
However, in most cases,
they are just like black and white cameras
They do not convey the emotions of what they observe,
but only empty forms.
They don’t capture the feelings to fuel their creativity.
On the other hand,
The 3D Visual Artist does exactly that!
So… Use your everyday surroundings
to trigger your creative inspiration.
How? Here is a tip for you.
“Life - drawing”!
Have you ever done it before?
Or are you only used to drawing with a software
and the Idea of taking a piece of paper
and a pencil
feels awkward?
Good!
David Carson, a pioneer in Graphic design, says:
“Loosen up the brain
to express things in new ways,
and you might find something incredible.
Even just taking five minutes a day
to draw, without the end goal
of presenting the finished work to anyone,
is a great way to disentangle the thinking mind
from its more free-associative,
creative counterpart.”
So...
Look around and start feeding your creative power.

Pay Attention to Detail - How to Use BLENDER to Become a 3D Visual Artist course by Massimo Cozzi Expert
http://bit.ly/3d-visual-artist
Pay attention to detail.
Don’t let the 3D software determine your art.
When you work with a 3D software,
some special effects may be very, very attractive!
And become an easy generator
of shapes, colors and movements.
That can make you lazy,
weaken your creativity,
and standardize your work
to the level of many others who
use the same, or similar, effects.
Why I am telling you to
pay attention to details?
Because details make the difference!
Details make a big difference
just like in everyday life.
Take a couple of hours and look at the works
of the greatest artists of the past and of today.
If you can spare more time,
watch some documentaries
that reveal their creative process...
and you will find that most of them
are indeed obsessed with details.
The strength of creativity
mediated by the attention to details.
During my course:
“How to Use BLENDER to Become a 3D Visual Artist”
I will come back to this concept many many times
with examples and possible solutions
to achieve just that.
BLENDER is a powerful tool...
and you need to know how to tame it.

Are You a 3D Visual Artist? - How to Use Blender to Become a 3D Visual Artist - Course by Massimo Cozzi
http://bit.ly/3d-visual-artist
Are you a 3D Visual Artist?
Hey...
This is quite an intriguing question!
First of all, what is 3D Visual art?
Let’s start by defining what ART is...
And since it’s one of the most complex things
to agree with,
I asked the Cambridge and Oxford Dictionary for help.
They both define ART as
“The use of the imagination to express ideas or feelings,
particularly in painting, drawing or sculpture.”
Use of the imagination to express ideas or feelings...
Mmm… Okay!
Some years ago...
Actually, MANY years ago,
Plato spoke of a place where all concept, dreams
and projects... already exist.
From this point of view...
The artist’s work
is being able to connect to this place
and give a physical form to the ideas they encounter.
In other words...
The artist is that person who,
with their sensibility,
can unite the invisible world with the visible one.
The spiritual with the material...
Fascinating!
Now...
the connection with 3D is easy to make.
3D is an abbreviation for three-dimensional.
That is... height, length and width.
A physical shape.
You can do it with painting,
with a quick sketch on a piece of paper,
with a sculpture, with a film…
which appear to be physical.
And 3D Visual artists
use software like Blender
to simulate 3 dimensions…
to create worlds, objects and shapes in motion...
which exist only in the virtual world.
This is a new amazing medium
that allow us you to use your sensibility and creativity
to give shapes to your emotions…
And make Plato happy too! 😀
You feel like it, don’t you?

Why Blender? How to Use BLENDER to Become a 3D Visual Artist course by Massimo Cozzi
http://bit.ly/3d-visual-artist
Why Blender?
Because Blender makes it easy
to transfer the ideas you have in your mind,
the emotions that you feel in your soul,
into a 3D space.
Listen.
Have you ever got that strong feeling
or seen something that really inspired you...
but when you tried to turn it into a 3D work,
that emotion faded away
as soon as you faced some technical setbacks?
Yes?
Or just the idea of that… is enough to scare you?
Same here. Me too!
I've worked with many 3D software
over more than 20 years
and I've hardly found the friendliness
that BLENDER gives me.
BLENDER can really become
an extension of your mind.
And by the way…
BLENDER is also completely free.
How good is that? 😀
In the course that I am preparing
