#1 "I didn't say or do anything to this guy. I had literally just arrived & he began attempting to intimidate me for no reason. Calling me names & getting in my face for atleast 30 seconds before I decided to record back"
#2 "I am NOT an auditor & I wouldn't normally include this type of childish behaviour in my coverage, but it adds context to what happens next. I am not there to support any side. I am there as a freelance reporter to document history"

Update: a 30 year old male has been arrested on suspicion of r**e. Following a women in her 20s believed to have been attacked in a tent on Lincoln Square following briefly talking to the alleged attacker. GMPs statement does not reveal if it is believed to have been an Asylum Seeker who perpetrated the attack. FULL GMP STATEMENT "We’ve arrested a man suspected of a reported r**e in Manchester city centre over the weekend.

The 30-year-old was arrested shortly after a report was made to officers on Saturday (29 November) afternoon.

He has been questioned over the weekend and released with strict bail conditions not to enter the city centre while we work thoroughly to build our investigation and obtain further evidence.

We became aware of the report Saturday afternoon after our city centre patrols responded to a report of a nearby disturbance.

Officers saw a man and woman in Lincoln Square where the woman – aged in her 20s – disclosed to our officers she had been r**ed by the man on Friday (28 November) night.

We promptly arrested the suspect.

We understand the victim and the offender had spoken to one another in Manchester city centre on Friday evening prior to going in a tent in Lincoln Square where the assault took place.

Our local patrols are making enquiries in the area to ensure anyone with concerns or information can report it to us.

Detectives from our City of Manchester CID continue to investigate and anyone with information to help with our enquiries should directly report it to GMP.

Superintendent Nicola Williams, of GMP’s City of Manchester district, said: “Our priority is supporting the victim through what is a really distressing time. We are working with her and specialist support agencies to work at a pace that will establish the full details and secure the best evidence to bring a successful prosecution.

“Our enquiries so far suggest this incident took place on Friday evening after the offender began interacting with the victim in the city centre at around 10pm. It is shortly after when the offence is believed to have taken place, and we are doing all we can to understand exactly what has happened so we can bring the offender to justice for crimes committed.

“While we have not been able to secure charges at this stage, we are in contact with the Crown Prosecution Service to help bring a case to court. In the meantime, we have strict bail conditions on the suspect not to enter Manchester city centre while enquiries continue.

“There are no other suspects we are looking for. Officers are in the area engaging with those who frequent the area so they can come to us with any information that may seem insignificant but could help us.

“We already have increased patrols across the city on Friday and Saturday nights to help ensure woman and girls can feel safe in the nighttime economy. We know thousands of residents and visitors enjoy Manchester’s nightlife week in week out, and if you are out and about you will continue to see our officers on hand to provide reassurance and security in the coming weeks.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police directly online or via 101 quoting incident 1613 of 29/11/2025. Details can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

On September 13th, 2025, central London became the centre of national attention during Tommy Robinson’s “Unite the Kingdom” protest - the largest Christian nationalist/ right wing populist/ hard right demonstrations in UK history.

As thousands gathered across Westminster, Whitehall, and Trafalgar Square, tensions between protesters, police, and counter-demonstrators led to hours of unrest, and violent clashes.

This documentary analyses the sequence of events throughout the day; from Westminster Bridge to Parliament Square, Horse Guards Avenue, and Trafalgar Square. Using verified footage, police statements, livestreams, and open-source intelligence to build an evidence-based timeline.
