A 14 point loss saw us lose by 2 on aggregate and end our BBL season away at Bristol. Giants kept it close in the first quarter before the gap started to grow in the second quarter and see us go in at half-time with our lead down to 3 points on aggregate. The game carried on into the second-half with Bristol stretching their lead to the point where we were tied with the Flyers.

Mike Miller hit a turn around fadeaway to give the Flyers a 2 point lead before Delpeche blocked
Armstrong's attempt to tie the game and the Flyers knocked us out of the play-offs.

In their last Giants performances, to date, gave us a 30 piece, .0 directed traffic with 7 assists alongside his 11 points, dropped 14 points and .steel shot excellently from the floor, finishing with 11 points off the bench.

McKnight, in the final hime game of the season, led the way for the Manchester Giants as he dropped 22 points. Tyrik was back to his best and recorded a double-double with 15 points & 12
assists and David Ulph proved what he can do with 14 points and 7 rebounds.

Great home leg as play-off basketball returns to Manchester!

91-79 - a 12 point lead on aggregate to the boys in green! πŸ’š

The last game of the league season saw us lose by 10 points to the London Lions as they finished strong and we slipped down to 5th in the league standings. A huge performance from Jamell, reminding people that he isn't just one of the BBL's best defenders as he got 26 points and some support from McKnight who finished the regular season with 15 points.

Reese for the Lions led all scorers and powered them to the victory with 32 of his own points.

This fixture saw Armstrong return for us and drop 21 points. Sheffield proved to be a really tough fixture for us throughout the season and in the penultimate fixture of the regular season, Ratinho led them with 25 points as they saw off the Manchester Giants in a close encounter.

The scoring was shared out. Alongside Tyrik's 21, Dan got 17, Jamell 11 and Josh Steel 10. Dan also got a
double-double with 10 rebounds and Armstrong flirted with one as he picked up 8 assists.

Another game without Armstrong saw us fall to defeat against the Flyers, who were also jockeying for playoff position. Delpeche was huge for Bristol as he led all scorers with 21 points, with Geno and Dan leading the Giants scorers with 15 & 12 points respectively.

87-66 sees us lose by 21

As the season drew to an end, the Giants saw star player Tyrik Armstrong struggle with a leg injury but we still proved too much for Surrey as we ran out 18 points winners in this home BBL Championship fixture. Our bench outscored Surrey's 25 - 6 as we rounded towards the final 3
fixtures of the regular season.

Following this game, Francois Lewis left the Giants due to injury.

The last fixture versus the Riders for last season saw us lose narrowly to the eventual league winners. This team were a defensive juggernaut but could also put the ball in the hole at a very high level. Armstrong led the Giants with 21 but Crandall out-performed even Tyrik with 23 points
of his own.

Back to back big games from Armstrong saw him lead all Giants scorers with 21 as we beat the
Flyers down in Bristol. Dan got back to his best as he dropped 19 and as a whole we shot 50%
from beyond the arc.

What do all teams need on a winning streak to bring them back down to earth? An away fixture vs Glasgow, of course! McKnight and Armstrong were huge with 19 & 18 points respectively and Ulph continued his excellent FG% going 7-8 from the field, but it wasn't enough. A really tough loss, that saw us lose our first game in 5 by a point!

The last win in our 4 game win streak was our biggest win of the season as we thrashed the Lions by 38 points. Francois Lewis had arguably his best game as he dropped 20 points but the true star of the game was the Giants defence with 35 points from turnovers and managing to hold the Lions to 29% from the floor and 15% from 3!

94-56 - 38 point W.

The last game vs Newcastle Eagles saw the Giants hand them a 21 point L - something most Giants fans hadn't seen in many a year! Geno had arguably his best performance of the year with 24 points, Tyrik did what we came to expect him to do and gave us 23 and big-man, David Ulph, went a perfect 7-7 from the field on his way to 14 points.

After 4 losses on the bounce, the Giants fortunes took a turn for the better as we ripped off 4 wins in a row. Starting with Surrey, Will Saunders gave us 20 points and we got 43 from the bench. The depth of this team and the shooting from distance was too much for the Scorchers.

94-75 to the Giants πŸ’š

As our first home game of this new season approaches, we take a final look back at last season with part 3 of our season recap!

In one of the poorest Giant performances last season, we were severely beaten by the Flyers at home. Bristol got 4 of their 5 starters in double figures, with the Giants only managing to get 2 into double figures, with a few of the Giants players not troubling the scorers table. Following the international break, Jamell dropped 13 and David Ulph did what he does best and hit
the glass on his way to 10 boards.

We bookend part 2 of the 3 part season recap with loses to Plymouth.

Our last game against the Patriots of Plymouth saw us narrowly miss out with a 1 point L. Flipping the script from earlier in the season where Plymouth didn't get much from a small rotation, their
bench doubled ours in scoring as we continued a run of poor form.

77-76 to Plymouth

Our form continues to slide as we lose another game in what would end up being a 4 game stretch without a win. The Leicester defence was suffocating holding us to 39% from the field and 25% from 3, Tyrik was the only Giant to get in double figures.

86-68 to the Riders.
