Inspiration for Today

*13th February 2025*

*The Rapture Can Happen Anytime*

*And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.* (Revelation 22:12, KJV).

We have since begun the journey into 2025, setting new lofty goals and the drive to achieve them. However, in the midst of these worthy pursuits, it is easy to forget, or to treat with less importance, the more important issues of life like family, marriage, friendship, relationships, and taking good care of oneโ€™s health. Therefore, while you are reviewing and pursuing your goals for the year, it is necessary to remind you of the most important goal that you need to pursue with all diligence. That goal is making sure that you get raptured when Jesus comes in the cloud to catch His Church away. This may sound odd to many Christians, but it is worth putting you in remembrance of this very vital aspect of our existence. Jesus is certainly coming back again at a day and hour unknown to anyone of us hence you need to be ready for His imminent advent.

In Matthew 24:42-44 Jesus Himself said: *Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.* The coming of Jesus is not in doubt and so should be your readiness to meet Him when He shows up in the clouds. In 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 Paul wrote: *For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise. After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.*

Therefore, as you chase after earthly relevance, wealth, convenience, power, comfort, recognition, etc., you must not forget to maintain your focus on what counts towards your eternal destiny. I consider it needful to remind you to get your priorities right because, although we do not know the day or the hour that He will come back again, we are not in any doubt about the fact that Jesus will certainly come back to take His bride home as He promised. Therefore, irrespective of whatever you may be doing or engaged in, please make sure that you are always ready for the coming of the Lord. In Matthew 24::36-39 Jesus said: *No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark.* Beloved, there will be no spectacular happening to herald the rapture so make yourself ready because the Master can show up at any time without notice. Shalom!

Dear Heavenly Father, please help me to stay focused, on things above and not on things beneath because I am dead to this world and my life is hid in Christ with God, in Jesu name
