Introducing … Sergeant Thunderhoof

Possibly the West Country’s best kept secret, it’s no surprise that both Thrashtash and Hutch named the Somerset band’s The Ghost of Badon Hill in their top albums of 2024. It was an album crafted over many months, with a desire to cut down on their previous lengthy albums to a more manageable 42-minutes. The Ghost of Badon Hill proved a hit with many aficionados who loved the complex yet accessible style the band delivered.

But there is much more to discover with Sergeant Thunderhoof. They have several other albums, all worth a listen, and we invite you to do just that. This is a band who have been steadily building their stock for more than a decade. Immerse yourself in music of really quality that traverses genres with ease. Thick riffs, clean vocals and beautifully composed songs, with a pulsating live show. What’s not to like?

This month, singer Dan Flitcroft is our guest on the podcast. Check it out when it drops next week and then dive deep into a catalogue of joy and excitement. Our band of the month … Sergeant Thunderhoof.
