Fresh off the day & night event at Honey Street Studios, this show takes inspiration from recent connections and collaborations.
As we near the meteorological end of summer, we’ll use some of that last peak energy and also dip into moodier sounds as we look ahead to the seasonal change.

Bodipa is a dynamic production and DJ duo comprising Levi Love and Stallone. Their name, derived from the South African Setswana language, loosely translates to “Deepness,” reflecting their deep-rooted love for Deep House music.

The Manchester magazine is back on the STEAM radio waves, hosted by founder Zak Hardy. We’ll be running through downtempo and chill house, along with a runthrough of our recent articles and subcultural deep dives. Also, drink some water!

On Friday’s Link Up show, Joey B Guiding-Star will be welcoming General TG to the studio for a guest selection. For those that don’t know, General TG is the mic man and selector behind 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙜𝙖𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙮 🌄, and has his own sound, ‘Cassava Sound’. Lock in for some high grade roots and dancehall music!

Also coming up tomorrow, Tim has invited DJ Club facilitator and Thump resident //ANT1// to the morning airwaves to talk festivals, ‘breakfast’ and sounds of the summer so far.

In this month’s episode of Giant Lovers Lighthouse, Sasha Shuttleworth explores the strange waters of late summer melancholia. Spinning together neo classical, some inexplicably exciting contemporary folk from the islands of Lankum, Lullahush and Manchester’s own Brown Wimpenny and the rattling stars of Sinead O’connor, and celeste as we sail with love and caution through this slow deep groove in the year.

Nossa! is a selector forward night that encourages dancers to enjoy making the dancefloor together. Influenced by their favourite house parties, the music leans deeper into instrumental and percussive worlds, with dancefloors peppered with plants, drawings and more songs than tracks, they have built a reputation for creating ecstatic, friendly and joyful dancefloors which invite each dancer to build it alongside them.

For this months episode the Nossa! team will be bringing you the sweetest selections to your very own ears lock in from 1pm!

Bad wolf, one of the selectors for noface, will be coming with worldly remixes, all things drums and many throwbacks, getting us ready for the weekend; it’s about the journey, not the destination.

We're back for our GRUB STRETFORD residency this Thursday, with the wonderful Isobel Moloney and Jade (f.k.a. Hannah D.) running tunes all evening long.

Kicking off at 6pm is Izzy. One member of Isms and their morning breakfastisms show on steam, Izzy will be bringing some disco and chuggers to Stretford.

And from 8pm til 10 is liil bits: an immersive sound bath with plenty of break beat cuts, tethered together with basslines driving upward from the undergrowth, with currents of folk from around the world coursing through it all.

Free entry all evening as ever, loads of tasty grub to choose from and some super lovely pints. Head on down!

A couple of new shows today!

From 4-5pm we've got Anam – a Manchester based label with an output that orbits ambient, shoegaze, dub techno and the wider reaches of electronica. On the third Sunday of each month Angus will be playing music from and around the label, tracing its influences and hazy, introspective and occasionally euphoric points of departure.

And from 3-4pm Stockport soundsystem Cairn Sound is at the helm for an hour of eclectic chillers to ease you through Sunday afternoon.

12:00-14:00 Khi-P’s Corner
KHI-Ps corner, a place where we will be exploring straight 90s RNB, some soul and heartbreakers to touch the spirit, and then we’re gonna have a swift transition into some current underground UK/US HipHop hitters, including some local MC’s with recent drops trickled throughout the mix. We couldn’t forget about the thriving alternative indie scene flourishing throughout the UK at the moment, and made sure to include some of the best up and coming vocalists the country has to offer.

MBB is back where it all started. Expect grime, dubstep, baile funk, leftfield, perhaps drill, dub techno, or maybe even actual techno… who knows? But whatever it is, it’ll be bassy. Enjoy your Sunday before hell tomorrow - Zena xx

NoPopNoStyle takes a deep dive into Keith Marley’s vinyl collection. Broadcasting from New Brighton on the Irish Sea Coast, expect anything from deep house, afro, arabelectro, dub, reggae, jungle, triphop, hiphop, dancehall and anything else from the outer stratosphere of electronica.

DJ Club is a Manchester-based grassroots community making DJing and music culture more accessible. Public Service Airwaves is their reminder that our scene is full of incredible talent. Each month, DJ Club residents bring their finest selections, followed by a guest mix from our alumni and favourite selectors from our community. On the airwaves 3-5 PM on the second Saturday of every month, ‘‘PSA” is guaranteed to bring all the vibes and energy you need to soundtrack your afternoon.

Maracuya is a Manchester-based DJ and broadcaster drawing from the global bass spectrum. They have performed at major UK festivals and venues including The Warehouse Project and All Points East, as well as internationally in North America and Colombia.

Jarvis goes B2B with Yyre this weekend for a seminal set inspired by their mutual soundcloud likes and convergent tastes. 28 degrees celsius, a glorious day to be streaming from a dubiously ventilated bar in Manchester. Tune in for fat bass & high intensity tracks.

Jess Rose is a DJ, community organiser and activist whose sound reflects her values at the heart of the q***r movement.
