In July I played Joyce Sims Lifetime Love/ All and All, as part of a celebration of women in music amd underplayed classics. As always I tag the creators. As a result of that tag I was then notified of a forthcoming album from Joyce Sims due out in Autumn 2022 titled Change.....attached was a cover of Bobby Caldwells What I Won't Do For Love. It's awesome. (It's in the link). I've been a fan like so many my age since the mid 80s; Come Into My Life was a song me and my mate Natalie would be sure to dance to at The Honeycomb. There's a few songs that hug our friendship and trigger nostalgia, 3 tracks by Joyce Sims, always spring to mind. I was blown away by the message. There's a rework of It Wasn't Easy too.
The news of her passing will hit many today - she was part of the birth of the second summer of love and the best times. R.I.P Joyce Sims
