Last night we won an award for BEST PRODUCTION COMPANY. To say we’re proud is a massive understatement…we’re a Northern, female-led TV company fuelled by a passion to create innovative and entertaining content. We’ve poured our heart and soul into growing the company over the last 4 years, in really challenging times for the industry, so to have our hard work recognised in this way, amongst such incredible industry talent, means the absolute world to us! Based in Manchester, Salamanda Media are looking for a Development AP to join our team ASAP!

If you're full of new ideas and a genuine telly addict who watches a broad mix of shows across the channels, we'd love to hear from you.

Our ideal candidate will have experience of working in TV development and production, you’ll be confident, self-motivated and highly creative with experience in generating and developing formats, factual and factual entertainment ideas.

Skills should include:
* Strong research skills and an eye for headlines that inspire new ideas.
* A keen interest in the news, latest social trends, celebrities, unearthing interesting characters, access and talent.
* An understanding of the commissioning briefs of the major broadcasters
* The ability to use Powerpoint to create impactful decks
* A flair for writing
* Shooting and editing experience would be a bonus, but not essential.

The role will be office based in Media City, Salford.

If you're full of new ideas and passionate about pitching, then we'd love to hear from you!

Our ideal candidates will be confident, self-motivated and highly creative with a genuine interest in generating, developing, writing and pitching original formats and discovering new talent.

Experience in creating ideas for factual, factual entertainment and formats for the major broadcasters is preferred.

Skills should include:-

The ability to use Powerpoint and or Keynote to create impactful and well written treatments.

Strong research skills and an eye for headlines that inspire new ideas.

A keen interest in the news, latest social trends, topics and unearthing interesting characters, access and talent.

Editing experience would be a bonus, but not essential.
