Headstock announced Behind the Scenes – a new peer support group initiative for people working within the music industry in Manchester.

The purpose of Behind the Scenes is to provide people working within music with a space to connect, share experiences and offer mutual support.

The initiative has launched in partnership with music industry mental health charity, Music Support (who will be facilitating the groups) – with support from AO Arena.

‘Behind The Scenes’ Headstock Festival’s new music industry peer support service in partnership with Music Support & AO Arena starts in November.

Welcoming the likes of artists, management, agents, crew and promoters, as well as those working for festivals, labels and venues, the groups will provide a chance to build a supportive community, with the purpose of tackling mental health issues.

MANCHESTER TECH HOUSE LEGENDS SOLARDO THROWING FREE GIG TO HELP RAISE MONEY FOR MENTAL HEALTH CHARITY

Headstock and Skiddle have teamed up to launch The Drop, a brand new house music event series which aims to raise money for charities supporting the mental health of people working in the music industry.

This will start on World Mental Health Day, Thursday October 10th, with Solardo throwing a free party at The Yard Mcr in Cheetham Hill.

The electronic duo will be supported by Shimrise, one of the most exciting breakthrough acts on the Manchester house scene, with the show taking place from 6-9pm.

Tickets are capped at two per person and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis - you can make voluntary donations to Music Minds Matter at check-out on Skiddle and on the door at The Yard Mcr.

All proceeds from the event will be split equally between mental health charity Music Minds Matter and Manchester-based music and mental health social enterprise Headstock.

We’ve been sitting on this one for a while but we can finally announce the launch of The Drop - a new monthly event series, in partnership with our friends .

Each month we’re going to be putting the biggest names in electronic music into the - an intimate 320 capacity venue in Cheetham Hill, Manchester. The events will run from 6-9pm and we’ll be creating an early evening rave experience like no other.

The goal of The Drop is to shine a light on the positive impact dance music and intimate shared experiences can have on our mental wellbeing.

We’re delighted to announce that we’re kicking things off with Manchester heavyweights - who will be supported by , one of the most exciting names currently breaking through on the Manchester house scene.

Each month, proceeds from ticket sales will go to support a variety of mental health causes including charities which support the mental wellbeing of people working within the music industry.
