I’m lucky enough to live right by a World Heritage site and the most iconic building in my neighbourhood is the impressive Salts Mill in the village of Saltaire.

DAY 1. TREES

And so it begins! I love taking part in and am excited to get started on this years prompts as well as getting to discover lots of new collage artists and their work.

First up is this mixed media collage on the back of an old ordinance survey map. I love old maps and their connection to the landscape and their raw material of course , the trees themselves.

✂️ I made a diptych!!!

Originally this collage was for this months .collage.collective ‘yellow’ theme but half way through I decided to make it in two parts which made it too big to submit😬
Inspired by a trip to Gatehouse of Fleet a couple of years ago. I fell in love with the little yellow doors of the Book & Art shop and have wanted to recreate them in some way ever since. Collaged on to playing cards and hand stitched to join the two seperate cards.

I’m a little bit in love with the finished piece🥰

❓to Lino print, or not to Lino print…just one of the questions I have been pondering now the new year has started.

Truth be told I have sort of fallen out of love a bit with Lino printing and seem to be drawn more and more to making collages. All my new ideas seem to be collage based…albeit using some of my printed papers. So I have been asking myself if I still want to continue with it and I think the answer is No.

Therefore, I won’t be printing any more of my Linocut designs. I still have several of each available and they are on sale over in my Etsy shop at 50% off if you would still like one…or two?!

I’m sure it won’t totally be the end of my Lino printing days as I may look to incorporate it some way in my collages but for now once the prints in my shop have gone, they’re gone!

HAPPY NEW YEAR you lovely lot!
I am easing myself gently into the new year and back into after a very lovely Christmas.
I thought I would start the year with a little thank you for all your support last year by running a whopping 50% SALE on all my A4 Lino prints until then end of January!!🙌🏻

⭐️ What a fantastic day at the Cuckoo Christmas market in Saltaire!! So many people braved the horrid weather to come down and chat and support our small businesses 🙏…it was a pleasure to meet you all. It was a market beautifully curated with some amazingly talented makers , many of whom I’m lucky to call friends! It was really lovely day😍

This was my last in person event for the year but my Etsy shop will be open for the next week for all your Christmas gift needs🎄🎄🎄

Big shout out to and for organising such a great event👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻…same time next year?!
