Children. It happened. We reached the Darkest Night.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last Friday at Loading Bay, for the final edition of Eggs Collective’s Dark Nights.

We were too busy dancing in the dark to take pictures, but this crowdsourced carousel gives an excellent sense of the chaos.

Damp and cold thank yous to our incredible special guests , .co.uk and for being the perfect grand finale triumvirate. And special thanks to our new heroes from Performance Collective who joined us onstage for the closing ritual.

Thank you to everyone who came down and joined us for snowball fights, Latin karaoke and the tin foil sculpture round of an already shoddy quiz. And to those of you who came to all three shows and had your loyalty card stamped thrice, you deserve all the B&M Charlemagne in the world 🍾

We’re off to hibernate before the nights start getting shorter. Big love Bradford, we’ve had a ball with you. Thank you for having us. ✨🦇

YOUR STORY HERE | 2025

Since the summertime, we’ve been hanging out in Sheffield with and the people of Stannington, making a brand new map of the area.

Starting with a fly-poster campaign in all corners of the neighbourhood, we invited people to call our hotline or send us a message about the places and stories that should feature on the map - big or small, happy or sad, eventful or ordinary.

Later, we set up a guerrilla trail of pop-up story collection offices (aka us with clipboards, a fold up table and the hope that people would talk to us), that took us to parks, day centres, breakfast clubs, pubs, cafes, the foodbank and the library.

Then, we handed over all the stories to the amazing illustrator , who turned them into an incredible new map of Stannington - pinpointing the exact locations of childhood adventures, favourite walks, dramatic encounters with badgers, falls and snow and last goodbyes. We love it.

It was a total joy to unveil the map a few weeks ago with people we met along the way. The map will have a permanent home in Stanwood, and be available online. We’ll do a whole other post featuring the map detail, because it absolutely deserves its own square on the grid.

🍂Bradford, you were absolutely ripe🍎

Thank you to everyone who joined us and our musty robes to harvest the dark, at Eggs Collective’s Dark Nights Part Deux.

You guessed tins, you weighed apples, you penned odes to Autumn that have had Keats spinning in his grave. And all hail our autumn monarch, crowned in a storm of leaves and B&Ms finest pumpkin spice haze.

Unholy gratitude to our ritual accomplices & Johnny The Biblical Rapper for their offerings to the compost heap. Big thanks to team and volunteers for all their support.

Up next, the finale - winter solstice. The darkest night yet. 12th December, at Loading Bay. Until then, stay cursed children, and don’t eat the yellow conkers.
