Vacio: Recharging the Mind for Construction Workers
Sometimes, the toughest part of the job isn’t lifting beams or working under pressure, but finding balance and staying grounded in the chaos. That’s why I take days like today to hit the water on a paddleboard — to recharge and reconnect with myself. The quiet, the movement, the feeling of being present — it’s my reset, my way of energizing and clearing the mental clutter.
It’s not just about physical rest; it’s about mental space, too. As construction workers, we give so much to the job, the deadlines, the team. But to keep showing up for others, we first need to show up for ourselves.
So, take time to breathe, to pause, to do what fills your cup. It’s vital to find that mental clarity, just like I did today. Recharging your batteries makes you more present, more powerful, and ready to face anything that comes your way.
