A lovely afternoon in Clifton Square. Quietly buzzing and the flower displays look great. Check www.lytham.online for Whats On!
Well Spring is definitely in the air, but after a brisk walk down the front we had a good appetite for one of the highlights of winter - a Sunday lunch π
Picked up a beef lunch from Le Roti and it was every bit as good as you would expect from there, perfectly cooked beef, lots of veg, proper beef gravy, ginormous yorkshires ... and no prep or washing up!
As Craig would say (that's something else I miss about winter) DE-LIC-IOUS π
Value for money? I've got a good appetite(!) but there was more than enough left over to plate up 2 small lunches for tomorrow so at Β£25 excellent value too.
PS the chicken lunch boxes are available all week, I suppose I will have to review one of those next - when it's my turn to cook!
My daily little walk πΆββοΈ
A leisurely start and thanking my lucky stars to have retired from St Bedes just in time. The staff there are unsung heroes. So my daily walk started much later than usual. Feeling a little festive I treated myself to a liquer coffee and mince tart from The Shambles, I've got to say it was an outstanding coffee and you could actually taste the brandy π
Then it was off down the main street which will come back life on Wednesday when all the shops fully reopen.
A right and right passing our Windmill and down the fantastic new promenade to Fairhaven. Past
the wonderful Spitfire memorial and round the lake which is going to look great when it is finished.
Up Woodlands Road past Fylde Meats. A right, left, right into Witch Wood thinking how lucky I am to live here.
Into Lytham where I have a choice from the 15 daytime takeaways on the link below for a hot drink or snack.
Can you tell from my little video where I ended up?
