Today was leg day and it was hard! But it’s my own fault because I’ve been a bit lapse over the last month. Too many distractions ✅Too many excuses ✅Feeling low ✅Feeling tired ✅Nutrition not on point ✅These are all easy excuses to make, which isn’t good enough. So what do you do? You flip the mindset and turn those negatives into positives. Instead of telling myself I’m too busy, I’m telling myself look at what you’re missing out on by being lazy, because I’m not too busy. When it comes to nutrition, again focus on the positives rather than just reaching for something in the cupboard because it’s easy. Or better still just don’t buy the things that you know you’ll give in to. So today on my way home I stopped and picked up a bag of mixed nuts to snack on rather than that chocolate bar. Making little swaps like this can make big differences and are so beneficial. So you can see I’m not perfect, but being able to recognise those faults and having the tools to make the changes are what matters. I’m a migraine sufferer 😢 today is no exception. I’ve been quite lucky of late as I haven’t had one for a few months (which is unusual) but recently due to the side effects of the medication I take to keep them at bay it was decided I needed to change them.
In doing so I’ve had to reduce before I can change and as I’ve got to the lowest dose of my current medication, bam 💥 it’s hit me and today has been a total write off 😤😱
Migraine in menopause is a symptom that is commonly recognised but they become more prevalent as Oestrogen starts to dip.
I’ve been a sufferer for many years, but they have certainly gotten worse since I’m now post menopause.
With good diet they are manageable, I know what triggers them and how to control and manage, but today wasn’t my day.
