I have experienced 100's of Aurora shows but this was up there with the best. Taken at Lough Fea up in the Sperrins along with my wee buddy Maisey 📸

Another image from the big show on the 6th/7th October. I always like to explore and find locations away from the usual spots. This location definitely needs explored more and only 20 minutes from home.....

As things stand tomorrow night could be one of the best in years for Aurora hunters if everything falls in to place and the cloud forecast stays as it is. Will see how things look tomorrow and make a plan....

Aurora season and Solar Maximum is well under way. Wasn't even gong to bother going out last night but stats looked really good and skies were super clear so I am glad I did.

What a brilliant show! It was showing all night but things really kicked off around 1am. Bright red and green to the naked eye.

I will post more images in the coming days 📸

St Eugenes Cathedral and The Rosemount Factory Building, Derry, above a blanket of Fog which was lying over the River Foyle at the end of last week. Brooke Park in-between which in a few weeks time will be full of Autumn colours 📸

I normally don't like hyping things up when it comes to Aurora because most of the time people get excited then are let down when things are forecast to be good then goes t**s up last minute, but as things stand then tonight could be one of the best shows that we have had in years! Don't think I have ever seen stats like they are now!

I'll update on this post if things change, but if you want to see the Aurora by eye then tonight is the night. Dark enough 12am-3am.

For anyone that can't get out then here is Ireland's only Live Aurora We**am located Fort Dunree and is only possible due to the fantastic efforts of Adam Rory Porter Photography

Iceland Aurora, March 2023 🇮🇸 It was minus 16 with crystal clear skies but the wind made it impossible to stay out for long periods so set my Nikon D850 up for a time-lapse outside our cabin. The best of the show was on the other side of the mountain but this was pretty epic. I'll be announcing 2 tours for 2023/24 soon.
