BTGV001 - Ruby St James - Own The Night (Prod by. Bulu) [Music Video]
In recent years Ruby St James has become a regular performer on the burlesque scene both in the UK and internationally. For her first solo musical release she teams up with London based producer Bulu to create the melodic yet weighty Own The Night.�

After receiving a folder of instrumentals from Bulu which contained an unassuming bounce from an old project entitled “Bloopy” Ruby used her unique song writing ability to take the track to a place that only she could. The ominous intro leads into a story of love in a club that the listener is left to perceive however they see fit. Intriguing lyrics and layered vocals coupled with deep distorted baselines, glitchy percussion and Bulu’s synthetic bloops that gave the original project it’s title make for a unique track that is a forceful collision of Ruby’s and Bulu’s musical styles.�
