WHERE DO YOU BUY YOUR CLOTHES?
Who on earth would have linked an ex CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch to s*x trafficking! Best see https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-67991750 because the FBI did! Maybe their agents had read the spy novel in TheBurlingtonFiles series about MI6 and the CIA. It’s mandatory reading on some countries’ intelligence induction programs - https://lnkd.in/e8DBJYWk.
Maybe you should read it too? Who really knows what your CEO is up to?
POST SCRIPT FOR BOARDS OF DIRECTORS & THOSE WORKING IN PERSONNEL
If you think your organization’s directors and employees are what they seem to be, think again. How would you know if one of them or one of your business contacts worked as an agent for an intelligence agency? In all probability you wouldn’t have a clue and nor would your Personnel Department. For about 50 years that proved to be the case for colleagues and business associates of one maverick accountant. From the early seventies he worked all over the world in the financial services sector as an auditor, finance director and more besides yet few knew he was a secret agent for MI6, the CIA and others.
Maybe you knew of him if you worked in Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers), Citigroup, Barclays, Reuters or their regulators. If you want a chance of spotting which of your colleagues has a dark side you had best read Beyond Enkription, the first stand-alone espionage thriller in the autobiographical Burlington Files series by Bill Fairclough, MI6 codename JJ, aka Edward Burlington. In real life Bill Fairclough was one of Pemberton’s People in MI6. Beyond Enkription is an unadulterated, pacy and memorable novel based on his early days in espionage working with Colonel Alan Pemberton CVO MBE (aka Mac).
It's a free read via your library or as an eBook via Amazon for certain subscribers in some countries. Otherwise it’s available in most formats via your local Amazon or at most posh bookshops. Do read Beyond Enkription but best to do so after reading the news articles for 2022/23 on TheBurlingtonFiles website at https://theburlingtonfiles.org/index3f7b.php . No wonder it's mandatory reading on some countries’ intelligence induction programs.
The Burlington Files are a series of fictional novels about a family called the Burlington family, their friends and associates. The series is expected to span many decades and is based on the family’s involvement with various governments’ intelligence agencies.
