Sri Lanka is a diverse country, home to many religions, ethnicities and languages. It is the land of the Sinhalese, Sri Lankan Tamils, Moors, Indian Tamils, Burghers, Malays and Kaffirs Research shows that around 70,000 to 80,000 Sri Lankans live in the UK, out of which the majority are highly skilled and educated individuals. Out of the thousands, there are many who have little to no experience o

f the pleasures of living in Sri Lanka. Therefore, for those who are born and bred here in the UK, or simply moved here a few years ago, Ape K**a Organization is truly a gift. Creating Ape K**a marked the first step of this media journey and there is no doubt that it will ultimately flourish. Apekama Organization is filled with young and talented individuals who take immense pride in being Sri Lankan. As to the team, no matter where we were born, whether it is in the heart of Sri Lanka or another country entirely, the essence of what it means to be Lankan resides within us. Our Sri Lankan pride, culture and heritage will always be engraved in us. No matter what, it is something that will never fade away from our hearts, as it is who and what we are. It is an organization that has come forward to serve this community by creating a platform for Sri Lankans to share their thoughts, feelings and experiences on an International media platform called the Thames Rhythm. The programme presents the opportunity for any individual to broadcast their unique talents, ranging from highly influential medical experts or entrepreneurs to publishing the secrets of making the world’s best pol sumbol! The programme will contain everything from news of the home front to a good discussion on Sri Lankan politics but most importantly, it will be a chance for people to satisfy their curiosity of all things Lankan.

AMU LIVE IN CONCERT "2024" In London

Apekama present “ Amu live Concert 2024” in London Saturday the 16th of March was a spectacular day for the Sri Lankan Community in the United Kingdom. “Amu live in concert 2024”, one of the best motion picture Sri Lankan music industry produced has performed in Nakshatra hall London with pleasure to cordially invited Mr. Sanjeewa Lonliyes. Mr. Sanjeewa is an emerging famous Sri Lankan singer and composer who is known to his talents of raw and unplugged original music in Sri Lanka and across many content in the world. It is right to say that he is the modern creator of raw culture of the Sri Lankan music known as “Amu Culture” where songs such as “Pitakaware”, “Yakada Manamali” and “KaUa Kala” have brought him so far to the pinnacle of his career. We are delighted to invite him to perform for the first Rme in the UK. Chanuka Samarakoon, Sanjeewa Rathnayake and Isuru Perera who is main members of our organizers of Amu team concert. Maheshi Kokila who was the Founder of “Apekama” which trading under MY VISION NETWORK in London with a view to create high quality media platform where people can come in and discover values and full potential of our Sri Lankan community in the UK. Our mission is to create a high-quality vision that inspire, inform, educate and to promote unity and cultural values among the Sri Lankans living in the United Kingdom by providing them an international media platform to enhance their knowledge, experience and talents. It’s with much respect to the chief incumbent Most Ven. Wanduramba Kassapa from Athula Dassana Multi Cultural Buddhist community Center supported with many blessings and advise to make this event a fruitful occasion. To support the Athula Dassana multicultural community centre for charity (Sahana which donate for helps Sri Lankan children). Greeting to all our guests and sponsors' who made the day very special.so again thanks of all of you who help us and who take part in our Amu live in concert event and thanks for make our day marvelous and unforgettable. Last but not least an exceptional thank to Apekama team members who worked around the clock to make this event a reality and a great experience.
