It’s hard to believe it has been a full year since the last Digital Music Trends show. As some of you may already know, the show is on an indefinite hiatus but I thought I’d finally make it official on the website.
Digital Music Trends ran for six years (2009-2016), producing over 500 shows and interviews with all kinds of music industry professionals and the occasional artist.
DMT shows received over half a million downloads over the past six years, 115,000 plays on SoundCloud and is closing in on 100k views on YouTube.
Unfortunately, putting together a big best-of has proven unrealistic, considering the hundreds of hours of material that I produced over six years, it would have taken 4 months of full-time work to get something worth watching together! However, the website will remain live, and the shows will remain available on the feeds, YouTube and SoundCloud for the foreseeable future. So feel free to dig in anytime you like. I have the feeling that this treasure trove of interviews may prove interesting in a few year’s time – things have already changed a lot in 12 months.
If you’ve just come across the site via Google or word of mouth, there’s still a lot of great content to consume, however browsing the episodes on YouTube may provide you with a better experience as you look for the ‘most viewed’ shows and some of the events I’ve covered over the years.
If you’ve been a fan/supporter/guest on the show for years, thanks so much for your support, couldn’t have kept going without you!
Will there ever be more content coming your way? Well, I’d like to say never say never. http://digitalmusictrends.com/digital-music-trends-indefinite-hiatus/
