Nyha Cards is a new independent card publisher founded by London illustrator and designer, Naomi C Robinson. Launched at the trade show Progressive Greetings Live (PG Live) 2014 at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London, Nyha Cards ships worldwide and has a number of stockist including Waterstones and Funky Pigeon. Nyha Cards covers a range of over 100 original greeting card designs, all cr

eated by illustrator and designer Naomi C Robinson. The bright and multicultural designs are all original, distinctive pieces like no other. Naomi has a wealth of experience in illustration, design and publishing, working to meet the growing need for a more culturally diverse range of cards for UK high street and online stores. Nyha Cards proudly showcases all shades of the skin tone spectrum, from dark to light. Nyha Cards are split into three ranges: Sisters Pride, Brown Sugar n Spice and Baby Loving. Each card is Size: 125mm (w) x 175mm (h), each card is printed on 350gsm FSC accredited eco card with coordinating envelope and cello wrapping.

As I’m halfway through my maternity leave, I’ve had some time to reflect on my Nyha Cards business. Even though I’ve been fortunate enough to keep my small store open and fulfill my wholesale orders, I’m only operating at a fraction of my usual business capacity. As a result, I’ve had to pause my marketing efforts, posting on social media, and creating new artwork or products.
However, I’m extremely grateful for all my loyal return customers who have continued to support my business without a lot of sales push on my social media pages. They have even shouted me out in their reviews, which makes me feel appreciated, fortunate, and encouraged. I am equally thankful for all the new customers who have stumbled upon my creations and are happy to support my business. It’s always a humbling feeling, considering that I have been unable to post regularly or focus on my marketing.

Behind the scenes, I’m still very much dedicated to providing great customer service, high-quality products, and affordability for my customers. Since starting my creative business, I’ve always loved showing my appreciation to my customers individually. I take the time to quality-check my products before packing them and add a few complimentary gifts, like postcards and stickers, which customers can gift or keep for themselves.
