وہاج ترکی سے پاکستان آیا تھا۔ میرب سے جھٹ پٹ رشتہ ہوا اور دونوں نکاح میں بندھ گئے۔
شادی کی تیاریاں عروج پر تھی کہ میرب شارٹ سرکٹ سے جل کر بستر مرگ پر جا پہنچی۔

میرا شوہر مجھ سے عمر میں 20 سال بڑا تھا۔ ہم دونوں بہت لڑائی جھگڑا کرتے تھے۔ ایک دن میرے شوہر کو فالج ہو گیا اور وہ بستر پر پڑ گیا۔

فیکے کی جس لڑکی سے منگنی ہوئی وہ گورنمنٹ کالج میں فزکس کی لیکچرار بھرتی ہوگئی، سہلیوں نے دماغ خراب کردیا کہ اب ہمسفر بھی 17ویں گریڈ کا آفیسر ہونا چاہیے ۔ منگیتر نے فیکے سے ختم کرکے کیمسٹری کے پروفیسر سے شادی رچالی ۔
فیکے کا دل ٹوٹ گیا ۔ اپنا پسندیدہ گھوڑا بیچا اور دبئی چلا گیا ۔ جہاں اس نے گھوڑوں کی ریس کے شوقین شیخ کے ہاں ملازمت شروع کردی ۔

والدین کی وفات کے بعد مجھے زمیندار نے اپنا بیٹا بنا کر گھر رکھ لیا۔ زمیندار کی ایک بیٹی رانی اور بیٹا فیروز بھی تھا۔

گرلز کالج کی کینٹین میں فاطمہ نے اپنی کلاس فیلوز سے کہا: اگر کوئی لڑکی اُس بوڑھے باورچی کو تھپڑ مارے گی تو 5000 روپے کھانے کا بل میری طرف سے ادا ہو گا۔ کنول اپنی جگہ سے اُٹھی اور باورچی کے منہ پر تھپڑ رسید کر دیا۔
