From Rough Sketch to Powerful Impact: Partnering with the Internationl Development Studues on “Promoting Peaceful Pastoralism”

is proud to share the final report of our collaboration with the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) on their “Promoting Peaceful Pastoralism” project. This research, funded by Chemonics UK, dives into the security, peace,conflict, and instability faced by communities along the Turkana/Karamoja border.

Through impactful visuals and a clear layout, the report titled “The Lion, The Leopard, The Hyena and The Fox” sheds light on the complex dynamics affecting these communities, advocating for human rights, environmental protection, and an end to illegal activities.

I had the opportunity to present J.P. Morgan's PICTREE pitch deck as part of the .P. Morgan and -led Founders Forward Perfect Pitch project.

The feedback I gained was valuable, but most importantly, I networked with other women entrepreneurs, and I wish the eight finalists in the Founder Forward Pitch competition all the best. I am appreciative of the chance to introduce PIC TREE and to get to know such a powerful, inspiring group of female funders.

We recently completed a film about Arabica coffee. This is the never-before-portrayed story of Arabica coffee, told in a documentary that is unapologetic about the threat of climate change to coffee's future. It is authoritative and timely, with expert scientific research and personal testimonies from Ethiopian coffee farmers, beekeepers, and Cup of Excellence winners. Strategies for mitigating the consequences of climate change are presented, and strategies for ensuring the continuous quality and supply of Arabica coffee from Ethiopia are investigated.
