It’s been a whole year since I entered the Den, and believe it or not I still get nervous at the thought of it!

Look at my worried little face 😩🤦🏾‍♀️

Looking back it was such an unforgettable experience, one that I am so glad that I did and taught me so much. I paid attention to my figures, I nailed my pitch and presentation skills and I got investment!

I will say there was a lot of noise around me after this, a lot of opinions, advice, some people even openly saying they don’t understand how my business works. This confused me so much and I forgot to listen to myself. Why I started, and where I wanted to go.

Pitching to the Dragons was a game changer for me, got me out of my comfort zone and pushed me to do something I never thought I would have the guts to do, on national television no less

If you are thinking about doing something like this, this is your nudge to go for it and detach yourself from the outcome. This was my misogi last year and I would do it all over again :)

My Dad loved to travel and his favourite place was India 🇮🇳

I understand why now, he had a sense of belonging there even though he spent the majority of his life in the UK 🇬🇧

Every time we reach the airport and walk through the Duty Free, like clockwork I will relive dropping Dad to the airport for all his trips and hustle him to get me the latest perfume 💛

So grateful I inherited his love for travel

She reminded me that even though we are all on autopilot, our body knows what certain times of the year can remind us of, of course the absence of Dad is palpable 🧡
