'The Doom Busters' directed by Jack Lawrence McHenry will premiere at Glasgow Fright Fest.

Ben Pearson composed the original score for the film, mixed by Nick Taylor at Air-Edel Studios.

Today, Besant Hall Records is excited to release ‘When Fish Begin to Crawl’, composed by Jim Sutherland. Originally scored in tandem with the film triptych by the same name, Jim’s stunning score is a multi-award winner, including 10 best music awards.

Recorded by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and conducted by Terry Davies, this score blends elements from across the classical genre, creating a memorable and enigmatic album.

Co-directed by Jim Sutherland and BAFTA-winning filmmaker Morgan McKinnon, ‘When Fish Began To Crawl’ is a film about the climate crisis and humanity's deep relationship with nature.

We're excited to see two scores involving Air-Edel nominated for the 2025 'Best Film Music' Saturn Award.

Dario Marianelli's original score for 'Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire' has been nominated in the category, along with 'Dune: Part Two', featuring Loire Cotler's iconic vocals.

The 52nd Annual Saturn Awards will take place on the 2nd February 2025.

The Live Orchestral Premiere of the film 'When Fish Begin to Crawl' will be taking place in Inverness and Glasgow this week.

The triptych is directed by Morag McKinnon, with music composed by Air-Edel's Jim Sutherland and performed live by the RSNO.

Air-Edel's Grammy-nominated vocalist Loire Cotler has written an original song for Sonu Sood’s Action Thriller ‘Fateh’.

'Fateh' is released in UK cinemas this week.

Cotler, who blends world rhythms with operatic elements in her work, created the composition for one of the film’s action sequences. “Music is a higher form of communication above everything we’ve invented, and so the language of ‘Fateh’ was immaterial to composing a track for it,” Cotler said. “When Sonu walked me through the story of the film, his passion was electric. Through ‘Call to Life,’ I wanted to channel that energy and bring light, rhythm and intensity to the film’s action sequence. It was an incredible experience to see my music and vocals breathe life into the scene.”
