The Day I Took Hammersmith Palais Apart

This was the day in 1985 at the Thriller Gig promoted by Ken of Kisses Peckham. I was booked for a 30 minute slot, but had to stay on for 1 hour 20 minutes as no other DJ would follow me as I had 3500 customers in the Palm of my hand and they did anything I asked them to do.

Finally, Dave Brown stood up to the plate and we worked together for 20 minutes then Dave took control. That was a day/night to remember for sure.

At long last the truth was told tonight on Solar Radio 6pm – 8pm; bloody hell took 40 years to tell it as it really was. But liars and scam artists like some on Solar Radio are taking the p**s.

Paul Buick in his 40th anniversary show tribute tonight clearly said (and we have the recording) Tony Monson, Paul “TL” Buick, Clive Richardson CJ Carlos (AKA Carlos Manuelle Durate and Keith Renton, I Quote “Chris had had enough and said no more, I will not put Horizon Radio (the first 24/7 soul station back on air, so we created Solar Radio”.

So how in your previous public comments as is written in many places on the web, do you say 12 DJs revolt and left Horizon Radio? It was not true as you know Tony Monson and Keith Renton. Keith you were not involved then so no hard feelings to you. Liars, Bull$hitters and Thieves were and Buick tonight proved that. Paul pay back what was stolen and I will forget it, ???? Paul I never forget or forgive and you will in time also you this? “Thai Style”

Solar Radio it’s time to say sorry to my wife and myself for the hardship you caused and the hardship to others like Anne M, with your lies which can be proven. I will continue doing so until my dyeing day unless you say sorry for your bu****it over the years you have spread about me.

La Bu Bu has arrived, after 6 months of trying, she got 3 yesterday, It’s the ultimate accessory must have for ladies’ handbags (So I Am Told). Made famous by a so called Iconic Korean pop star (?) now 9 out of 10 handbags in Asia has one and coming our way. 3 new shops here in the UK and ques that go around the block.

It’s no longer buy a Gucci Handbag, for £1k+ you have to have a La Bu Bu as well. A bit like sticking a big bore exhaust on a small car then? On the brightside Christmas is Coming?

Yes, a real sad day for all soul music fans and even 40 years later right now I can see myself sat in that room after the DTI/RID left. I was listening to people; I had given their biggest breaks in life to who were just on an ego trip that resulted in me saying no more.

But I guess in this day and age people are ok with their friend’s stealing equipment, smashing up their cars, doing forgery that got those new radio licenses cancelled and lying through their front teeth as they take them for a ride on the next overseas event, aka Grab A Granny party.

God help us if we have another war, just remember that studio £20.000k along with the car they smashed up £4000+ damage you paid for as it was fully insured and the second studio at 62 Westow Hill CP they broke into and nicked £10k is ok with some. You could buy a house for less in those days in London.

One person was missing as he is today, yes, the same one who screwed up on Invicta, then JFM as he tried to take that over but Brian outed him, then Horizon, later Essex Radio and Kiss. Hopefully he later found out what soap and water was for, as that studio stank of BO. Apparently not as yesterday, I spoke to someone who visited a certain radio studio and they said it also stank of BO. 5 scumbags (that’s all, the rest of the team were brilliant) and you still worship them.
