RCN Foundation | Crystal's Story
“I was brought here on Earth to be a nurse”
We were delighted to work with the RCN Foundation for another year to create a series of case study videos spotlighting their Impact Award winners.
We love celebrating healthcare professionals ‘on the ground’, shining a light on their achievements in the sector and the people they help everyday.
At Faltrego we’re specialists in healthcare storytelling. Email [email protected] if you’re a healthcare charity of organisation and want to learn more.

This #childrenshospiceweek, we’re sharing Taz’s Story for Yorkshire and Humber Children’s Palliative Care Network.
During the filming process, Taz moved around the hospice at her own pace. Direction was absent, and we instead invited Taz to retrace her memories at her own pace. The visuals felt organic, and the process allowed for Taz to process her memories in her own way.
Faltrego have signed the Dignified Storytelling pledge, ensuring storytelling practices that are built on deep respect, full transparency and social responsibility.
We make sure sensitive stories, like Taz’s Story, are always authentic.
If members in your community have a story to tell, get in touch at [email protected] to learn about our dignified storytelling process.
Citizens Advice | Witness Service
For #volunteersweek we launched our new Witness Service film for Citizens Advice. We were pleased to create a film which shows just how a big a difference the Witness Service makes to people's lives.
As well as increasing awareness around volunteer opportunities for the Witness Service, the client wanted to increase volunteer recruitment. To motivate audiences we wanted those they help, and the tough experience they must face, to be front and centre.
The film was created entirely in-house and made to a tight budget. Using our years of expertise - and some creative tricks we have up our sleeve - to keep us in budget, we were delighted with the outcome.
If you're interested in a campaign film, but think budget might be tight, give us a shout! We might just have the workaround you need. [email protected]
SolarAid commissioned Faltrego to produce an animated film as part of their awareness activity for #InternationalDayofLight
The animation shows how SolarAid travels long distances and difficult terrain to deliver solar lights to hard to reach places. These lights in turn transform whole communities.
SolarAid were particularly fond of the map illustration to show how the organisation’s areas of work are linked together in the ‘ecosystem’ of one village.
We also pulled out still illustrations that can travel across SolarAid’s communications platforms and messaging.
We loved working with SolarAid who were the dream client to work with - we hope to work with them again in future!
SolarAid said: “We are so impressed with Faltrego, they were not only a joy to work with but they are extremely creative, knowledgeable and manages their clients perfectly. We are so happy about the end result and I'd recommend Faltrego wholeheartedly.” 5⭐

Comrie's Story | Fields in Trust
Did you know that we can help source contributors for your videos?
For case study films it’s normal that charities and organisations to know which people in their communities to reach out to tell their stories.
But there are some instances where charities and organisations serve the broader communities: whether that’s parents, children…or park-goers!
This #EarthMonth we’re sharing our films created for Fields in Trust's ‘Memories are made in our parks’ campaign in Edinburgh.
For this series we were delighted to help Fields in Trust source park-goers with a story local to Edinburgh.
One of these individuals was Comrie, who’s local park ‘The Meadows’ allows him time and space to be creative. And sometimes, to rehearse!
Kudos to our Edinburgh-born AP and Videographer Carys Hughes for drawing on her local personal contacts to achieve this for the client.
At Faltrego, we always go the extra mile.

Zeshan's Story | Fields in Trust
Do you think about soundscape when planning your campaign film?
This #EarthMonth we’re sharing our films created for Fields in Trust's ‘Memories are made in our parks’ campaign in Edinburgh.
As a musician and songwriter, who’s local park inspires his work, it was important when planning the film to consider sound as much as visuals to authentically tell Zeshan’s story.
We recorded and mixed a very subtle soundscape ranging from birdsong to the chatter of park-goers.
We also suggested licensing one of Zeshan’s own music tracks for the story - which you can hear throughout the final film.
We know that nature gives us so much for our senses which extends beyond sight into sound. And we think any storytelling around the environment, Earth and sustainability should have as equal focus on the sounds we hear as the images we see.
Are you thinking enough about sound when telling your organisation’s story?
Every now and then, there are momentous occasions in a charity’s history.
And, for The Encephalitis Society , we're grateful to have been there for so many!
From riding a Big Red Bus through London to raise awareness about the condition, to meeting with the World Health Organisation in Geneva to petition for a global awareness day for Encephalitis - we’ve seen A LOT.
The Piccadilly Lights event on World Encephalitis Day February 22nd perhaps tops them all.
We were privileged to join the gathering of survivors, families and volunteers as Piccadilly Circus lit up to raise awareness of a condition that can devastate lives - and equally to shine a light on a charity that helps so many people find their new normal.
Health conditions, no matter what they are, profoundly change lives. But the communities that are forged are some of the strongest we have ever seen, and some of the kindest that we’ve been welcomed into ❤️
We’re honoured to be considered ‘part of the family’ for the many health charities and the beneficiaries that they serve.
With #WorldHealthDay tomorrow, consider your health charity’s upcoming awareness day and any special PR events you might be able to do, that bring together and empower your community.

Would you edit your DNA, if you could?
As #BritishScienceWeek begins, we're delighted to share our promotional video for The Francis Crick Institute's free Cut + Paste Exhibition, which explores the ethical questions around genome editing.
With our MD's own background in Biological Sciences and in #SciComm (Fun fact: did you know Mary sits on the judging panel for the Bristol Science Film Festival?) this was a really special little project.
We loved being challenged to create a dynamic but accessible film which balances the tone of serious science with the interest and intrigue of exploring these big ethical questions.
Thanks to Julie Harris for bringing us on board and being the most terrific collaborator. Thanks as well to the incredible Crick team Jo Rhynold and Lauren Treacher for pulling it all together, and for being just fantastic people who share our values and sensibilities on so many levels.

I got the team feeling uncomfortable…
…but all for the greater good!
This International Women’s Day, we want you to be proud to brag about your achievements.
As women, it can often feel like we need to make ourselves and our accomplishments seem smaller.
Women self-promote significantly less than men, and can receive negative backlash when we do.
But good leaders encourage you to big yourself up, not shrink yourself down.
That’s why this #IWD23 we want you to #BragBetter
Communicate your worth.
Advocate your accomplishments.
Champion your contributions.
We’ve got uncomfortable and kicked things off. Now it’s your turn to #BragBetter in the comments below 👇
