Marcos Valle & Leon Ware - Feels So Good
⚡️NEW RELEASE⚡️In the late '70s and early '80s, Brazilian maestro Marcos Valle, in self-imposed LA exile, teamed up with soul legend Leon Ware. Their hits like “Rockin’ You Eternally” and “Estrelar” became iconic.
In 1979, together in an LA Studio, Marcos Valle and Leon Ware recorded a demo which would remain unfinished for 44 years, until Marcos found the tape sitting there on his shelf.
Enlisting the help of producer Daniel Maunick, Valle was able to restore and sampled the original demo track, adding Portuguese lyrics alongside Leon’s vocal hook, as well as extra keyboards and percussion.
With the original music treated with the care and reverence it deserves, this stirring soul masterpiece, conceived over four decades prior, retains all the visceral sensuality and authenticity of the golden era from which it emerged.
Marcos Valle & Leon Ware - Feels So Good will be available as a limited edition (500 UNITS ONLY), vinyl-only 7” release, exclusively from Far Out Recordings from the 2nd August 2024.

Last year we released the beautiful debut album from Rio born composer and multi-instrumentalist @tunicosec.
A timeless, melodically led instrumental record in the same vein as classic “Musica Universal” albums like Quarteto Novo, Brazilian Octopus and other early Hermeto Pascoal recordings.
Here’s Tunico with a solo snippet of “Decolagem”, performed in rural Rio de Janeiro 🌿

It's heart warming to see this group of initially very bored looking won people get won over by his incredible performance. ❤️🔥

Agustin Pereyra Lucena - Agustin Pereyra Lucena
✨ OUT NOW ✨ We are overjoyed to release the self-titled 1970 debut album from one of South America’s most criminally underrated guitarists, Agustin Pereyra Lucena 🫡
Featuring several of his own mystically beautiful bossa and samba jazz compositions amongst sensational versions of songs by Baden Powell, Vinicius De Moraes and A.C. Jobim, Agustin Pereyra Lucena was mastered direct from tape by Stuart Hawkes at Metropolis music for the abum’s first proper audiophile reissue.
The vinyl & CD editions are complete with a master-tape case replica inner sleeve + a picture insert featuring a memoir from the album’s vocalist Helena Uriburu. A massive thanks due to Agustin's nephew Jose Pereyra Lucena for facilitating this very special project 💙

On this day FIVE years ago, we released Ivan Mamão Conti's Poison Fruit...
The album is everything you wouldn't expect to hear from a jazz drummer in their 70s. A meld of tripped out samba, deep-house, jazz-funk and electronic experimentation with a potency, brought out by the stellar produciton of Daniel Maunick.
As a founding member of Azymuth, Mamao maintained a future oriented approach to making music throughout his incredible 50+ year career. His openness to working with producers like Tenderlonious, Max Graef, Glenn Astro, Contours, Jazzanova, Pablo Valentino, Ig Culture, Jenn Bassa, Reginald Omas Mamode IV, who all contributed remixes to the project was testament to this.
Sadly Ivan passed away last year and though we all continue to miss him terribly, this album is part of an immense lasting legacy, consituting some of his finest work. Not to mention this clip is hysterical 😂

Azymuth - Outubro (Limited Edition Deep Aqua Blue Vinyl)
🔵 NEW REISSUE 🔵 Azymuth's iconic Outubro on limited edition deep aqua blue vinyl 🌊
Originally released in 1980, Outubro began Azymuth’s run of prolific output for Milestone Records throughout the decade. Typifying the consummate craftsmanship of the three members’ performances - each with such distinct personality and together so perfectly balanced - their perfectionist attitude to sound is maintained across the production on the album, beautifully colouring the expressionist fusion of samba rhythm, jazz progression, funk attitude and ethereal electronics.
Home to the jazz-funk floor filers "Dear Limmertz" and "Maracana" 🕺💃
Pre-order now ahead of the 16th February shipping date ~ faroutrecordings.com/collections/azymuth/products/azymuth-outubro?variant=40808518746201
