Last week, our founding partner Andrew Wrobel joined EIT Food and hosted an event focused on encouraging more to come up with solutions across the CEE region.

Furthermore, 93% of the investing in the region are represented by men.

A new threat to Hungary's OrbΓ‘n

The largest protest against and his party for several years took place in Budapest on April 6, attended by a crowd whose numbers ran well into the 100s of thousands.

It was notably different from previous anti-OrbΓ‘n demonstrations. There was nary an EU nor opposition flag in sight and the crowd was in large part older than would be expected.

It was a sign that amid economic strains and shifting political loyalties, even OrbΓ‘n's former allies and supporters are now ready for change: https://hubs.la/Q02sxdn30

Economy in focus:

To prevent falling further behind its neighbours and to reach its full potential, Latvia needs to address its uneven growth focused on the capital, .

It also has to deal with its shrinking populationβ€”it's lost almost 30% since 1990 and could lose another 23.5% by 2050, the United Nations' Department of Economic and Social Affairs predicts.

The country should also diversify its economy more and invest in its people's skills. It certainly has the know-how to do so: https://hubs.la/Q02sx8pL0
