One of my favourite moments this Christmas was decorating the tree 🎄 with all my babies 🥰 Cookie came with her best blep 😛 She really surprised me, being a reactive dog and struggling with meeting new people, she did amazingly well around lots of family members she had never met before. Milkshake the pink nosed Reinpug reporting for duty 🫡😘 It had been a month since Milkshake had surgery to remove his eye. I didn't want to push him to dress up or do anything he didn't feel up to ❤️ so I started photographing Dumpling for campaigns in his place. The day we started shooting he was crying and scratching my legs and I didn't know what was wrong until I realised that he just didn't want Dumpling to steal his spotlight 😅🤣 I picked up this reindeer outfit and showed it to him. He started wagging his tail and started lifting his front paws up for me to put it on him. Do you still love me? ❤️🥰 Last month Milkshake had to have surgery to remove his eye. I promised everyone that I would share a proper update once he had fully healed. His stitches have dissolved, and the area where he had surgery has healed amazingly well. His fur has grown back where it had been shaved to do the surgery, and he looks a lot more like himself now ❤️ He has adjusted incredibly well. A lot of people have asked if he can navigate around things like he did before, and he can. He doesn't bump into things. In the beginning, I kept him on a lead for walks in the park until we both got used to which side of him I should walk on so he can always see me and won't get lost. At first, he would walk very slowly by my feet, but now he's running around and has become more adventurous again 🥰 It's been tough coming to terms with what's happened to him. We were on our walk, the same place I've walked him a million times when he hurt his eye. It was a clear path, no brambles or anything he could obviously hurt himself on, and days later, we got the devastating news from the hospital that they would have to remove his eye. It really broke my heart. His eyes are what I love most about Milkshake and you don't realise until you lose one of them that that's largely how you communicate with your dog and (along with other things) how you read their emotions, understand what they want. But then I think of the pups that don't have eyes at all and how they show love and communicate with their families like sweet @steviewoofer ❤️ and then I realise its not just eyes but energy too ✨️and he has the most incredible, happy and healing energy 🥰 The love and support from this community has been overwhelming, and I wanted to thank you all again for how wonderful you have been 🙏❤️ Milkshake sends you all his stinky kisses 💋 #milkshakethepug #pinkpug #getwellsoon #oneeyedog #oneeyeddogsofinstagram
