Marvelling at Malaysia’s unique wall calendar design. The main posters usually bear marketing messages from sponsoring vendors. It features retro font choices: classic serifs for days of the week and heavy serifs for the dates. Alongside the Gregorian dates, many Malaysian calendars would include the Chinese zodiacs, Islamic calendar and public holidays. The calendars typically include English, Malay, Mandarin and Tamil languages, reflecting the country’s multi-ethnicity. What does the calendar looks like in your country?

Exciting news. Our studio is now based in Malaysia, to operate within the Asia Pacific. It’s now known as Glue Studio Sdn. Bhd., a private limited company based in Malaysia.

But don’t worry; apart from our HQ’s location, incorporation details and time zone, everything else such as our services, technology and workflow remain the same. We still adhere to the British / EU professional standards and GDPR.

The UK has now entered the CPTPP on 15 December 2024, so it can now trade freely with Malaysia for the first time. With a large multicultural English-speaking workforce, 5G network and excellent hospitality, Malaysia is a perfect choice for our studio’s new HQ.

Consider yourself having a colleague in an exciting region that’s booming economically and culturally.

Only days to Xmas 🎄It seems like yesterday when we celebrated it with colleagues and friends together in the UK and Europe. Since we’re based in Malaysia this year, our universe is getting bigger. We make new friends and colleagues in the Asia Pacific, learning new systems, exchanging skills and culture.

Although we’ve evolved - because change is good - our studio’s essence is still the same. Thank you for supporting us from day 1 at the London Silicon Roundabout, and being such incredible companies throughout our journey.

Our UK rates haven't changed since 2022, so we’re keeping it that way for now to support our global clients.

We’re now eight hours ahead of the UK (+8 GMT), so we work whilst you’re still asleep. We respond to UK clients between 7am and 11am GMT. Look forward to seeing you at morning online meetings.

Today we looked through reprographic print proofs of the Malaysian edition book covers for The Constant Companion Tales, published by Story Of Books Written by Salina Christmas Author

The digital proofs are printed on art cards by Pearl Design Manjung.

The book distribution landscape is different in Malaysia, where you have to work closely with local distributors and printers. The good news is, we’re working with two great printers in two states. One is known for printing fiction books and the other is a boutique printer at our beautiful seaside town.

Apart from brand identity and digital campaign work, we also test CMYK colours for our clients. This is important for events and marketing design collaterals.
