People don’t often talk about one of the downsides to travel.
We can’t count how many times we’ve said “I wish our friends were here with us” ✨I wish our brother / sister could see this view” ✨”I wish our parents could experience this day with us”✨
The feeling of missing home can feel overwhelming at times, you miss little home comforts, friends and family, you miss the quick cuppa with a friend, all the birthdays and milestones that you miss, it feels distant and crap at times but it’s also weighed out with the feeling of knowing this is the right path we need to be on, to fulfill our own goals and dreams. This journey is so so bitter sweet.
Being absent in people’s life that you love, whilst you’re trying to find your own isn’t always easy, there’s been many tears along the way.
But we have met and continue to meet so many amazing people as we move to each place.
So the quote really resonates and has made us realise, home isn’t a destination or even a place, home really is in the hearts of everyone you love so much and all that you continue to meet and grow to love..
