Prince William: We Can End Homelessness

This landmark ITV1 and ITVX documentary, produced by Mindhouse Productions and directed by BAFTA-winning director Leo Burley and executive produced by Arron Fellows, follows Prince William and the first year of his 'Homewards' programme, which he hopes will demonstrate it is possible to end homelessness across the UK. This two-part series features powerful stories of those currently facing homelessness or who have lived experience of the issue alongside some life-changing solutions.

The Production team and day-to-day management were attentive, helpful and extremely friendly. No request seemed too great, and any inevitable last-minute changes were always diligently accommodated.

The creative team were great. Right from the start, Duncan Russell really understood the look and feel of what Jamali was keen to achieve. From the colourful backdrops of Medellin, Colombia, to the bleak highways of Colorado in Winter, he enabled the episodes to reflect their distinctive surroundings, whilst skilfully keeping them visually part of the same series. It was a pleasure to work with Simon Hill too, who worked some magic on the episodes’ soundscapes. Whether it was adding depth to busy street scenes and tropical nights, or paring back the clamour of the jail to allow the dialogue to flow, he turned into what was needed and what could elevate the scenes.”

Working with the stunning animation we used the grade to bring everything together to create different moods and experiences throughout the film, aiding the journey both geographically and emotionally. Kirk Hendry and Neil Boyle the directors were brilliant to work with and I am proud to have played a part in bringing their vision to the screen.”

I could feel Cat hearing in paragraphs and suggesting tonal changes that you’d normally do with a line re-write – but now we’re working out ways to do that with sound. It’s not a method every show warrants, but it’s incredibly rewarding to change the tone of a scene just through what the sound is doing.”“I love working with writers who also serve as showrunners.
