Zespa Media is proud to announce that Agatha Christie’s first TV adaptation in China is now set to premier exclusively on iQiyi on 10th August. Titled Checkmate, this stylish and epic Chinese series are based on Agatha Christie’s legendary Hercule Poirot stories.

Prebookings of this new series on iQiyi have now exceeded 2 millions and counting!

Zespa Media is the exclusive representative of Agatha Christie Ltd in China, responsible for TV and film adaptations of Agatha Christie’s works.

Being Agatha Christie Ltd’s China agent, Zespa Media is proud to announce the first official Chinese language adaptation of Agatha Christie’s work in China! Based on the legendary Hercule Poirot stories, this adaptation is in collaboration with China’s top streamer, iQiyi. Named “Checkmate”, the series feature a young Chinese Hercule Poirot and his friends solving murder mysteries in Republic era China. The production is currently underway and iQiyi is planning to premier it in 2022 as part of of its strongest lineup.
