The South-East Governors Forum has requested a meeting with President Bola Tinubu to discuss the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

This decision was announced in a communiqué issued after the forum's closed-door meeting held at the Government House in Enugu on Tuesday.

Nnamdi Kanu has been in detention since June 2021, when he was rearrested and controversially extradited from Kenya to Nigeria.

Queen Theresa Ofojie: The Voice of Egwu Obi Umuoji

Theresa Ofojie, the renowned singer and voice behind the popular Egwu Obi Umuoji, hails from Ideoma village in the Umuoji Local Government Area of Anambra State. Egwu Obi Umuoji is a cultural music group led by Theresa Ofojie.

The group, which started in 1970, released one of the most played record albums of the 1970s in 1976. The group performed at highly respected occasions across the eastern states.

Story of Chukwuebuka and evil uncle called Osochiegbu

In the heart of Eastern Nigeria, in the vibrant city of Onitsha, a young boy named Chukwuebuka lived a life marked by hardship and struggle. Orphaned at a tender age, he was taken in by his uncle, Osochiegbu, who promised to care for him and provide a loving home. However, Osochiegbu's words were empty, and Chukwuebuka soon discovered that his uncle's heart was filled with cruelty and greed.

Osochiegbu forced Chukwuebuka to hawk goods on the bustling streets of Onitsha, from dawn till dusk, seven days a week. The young boy's dreams of attending school like his cousins were crushed, replaced by the harsh reality of survival. His uncle's house became a place of torment, where Chukwuebuka was constantly reminded of his inferior status. Despite his exhaustion and hunger, Chukwuebuka's spirit remained unbroken.

One fateful day, while hawking in an alley, Chukwuebuka crossed paths with a stranger named Mazi Nnamdi, who was fleeing from kidnappers. Mazi Nnamdi, a wealthy businessman from Abuja, had been kidnapped but managed to escape from his captors. Chukwuebuka, with his knowledge of the city's streets, quickly took Mazi Nnamdi to a safe hideout. Together, they sought help from generous individuals in the market, raising money for Mazi Nnamdi's transportation back to Abuja.

Weeks later, Mazi Nnamdi returned to Onitsha, determined to find the young boy who had saved his life. He searched far and wide, finally locating Chukwuebuka in the same alley where they first met. Mazi Nnamdi was overjoyed to see the boy again and thanked him profusely for his kindness. He revealed his true identity as a wealthy businessman and owner of several companies in Abuja.

Moved by Chukwuebuka's courage and determination, Mazi Nnamdi adopted him as his own son, much to Osochiegbu's dismay. Despite his uncle's objections, Chukwuebuka embarked on a new journey, traveling abroad to pursue his education and eventually becoming a renowned medical doctor.

Years later, when Chukwuebuka returned to Onitsha, he was met with a shocking sight: Osochiegbu, now frail and sickly, begged for his forgiveness as his own children had grown up to be touts, struggling to make ends meet. Chukwuebuka, with a heart full of compassion, chose to forgive his uncle, a testament to the power of kindness and resilience.

Dr. Chukwuebuka's story serves as a beacon of hope for those who have faced unimaginable hardships. His journey is a reminder that with determination, kindness, and the right support, anyone can overcome even the darkest of circumstances and achieve greatness.

Obioma and the Sacred Ogbunigwe

In the heart of a lush Igbo village, nestled beneath the shade of towering palm trees and surrounded by vibrant fields of yams and cassava, lived a young man named Obioma. He was known throughout the land for his courage and wisdom, traits inherited from his ancestors who were renowned warriors.

One day, a great calamity befell the village. A fearsome band of marauders descended upon them, led by the merciless warlord, Okonkwo. They pillaged homes, stole livestock, and terrorized the villagers with their brutality. But what struck fear into the hearts of the people most was the theft of the sacred Ogbunigwe, a mystical artifact that held the prosperity and protection of the village.

Desperate to reclaim the Ogbunigwe and restore peace to his people, Obioma embarked on a perilous journey. Armed with his father's ancestral sword and guided by the whispers of the forest spirits, he ventured deep into the dense jungles where Okonkwo's fortress lay hidden.
