NOW SHOWING: The First Responder Project | Earlier this year, we’d taken on a massive project in collaboration with The Mile End Community Project , a brilliant initiative which actively supports young people in the area through providing education and a range of creative outlets such as art, film production and much more.
This short also features Mile End Community Project’s very own group of amazing and aspirational young people!
This project has been hugely special for us to be a part of as it aims to prepare many young people and communities with the knowledge and skills they need to be true first responders before emergency services arrive.
This film is currently showing at pre-feature films over the next 6 months!

We sold a feature documentary to Netflix and it went live on Saturday 🤯.
Maybe you’ve seen “Longboarding LA to NY” on new and noteworthy? (I know, we still can’t believe it)
In 2016, we longboarded 3,000 miles across the length of the US for charity… What could possibly go wrong?
(There were, quite literally, a lot of bumps along the way) 🛹

As always, to get the best quality we whipped out the 6K RED Camera that filmed The Hobbit to get that (as our Head of Production calls it) “creamy bokeh” 😳 Ew, but the video does look great!

Shot on Saturday with an editor on site to bring the footage to life in the moment, by 2PM Sunday they had a V1.
By Tuesday we had completed the social cuts, colour grading, sound design, re-edits, amendments and subtitles.

What Does A £5.5 Million Video Production Look Like? 🤔
The team went out on a shoot with to create their Seedrs Crowdfunding video.
Their raise went on to generate triple their target (£5.5 Million)! 🤑

Instead of commuting to the office, today our team went out to work with to produce them a brand new explainer video after producing their successful crowdfunding video, brilliant!
“What inspired this colour palette?”
“Nature” we reply, whilst hiding the RGB keyboards.
For real though, having our own studio does have its perks.
From mood lighting to woo over new clients to being able to make higher quality productions in-house, it’s definitely a plus. ✌️

No talk, all action with another new company ad.💥 We decided to show our team more in this one so you don’t have to listen to the same voice in your feed.✌️
How Do You Influence People? 🤔 Harsh wording, we know, but let’s make it a little more specific. How do you influence people to watch your explainer video? Here are 3 things we do when making an explainer video. (Using our work for Influencer, one of the worlds largest influencer marketing agencies in the world, as an example.) Keep it Efficient ⏰ - Value your viewers time and patience and get straight to the point. Like an elevator pitch, we explained Influencers entire business in 90 seconds. Keep it Engaging 🤠- A recent study showed that attention spans went from 12 seconds in 2000, to 8 seconds today. Be creative with your shots and animations to keep your viewers eyes on you. Keep it Clear 💎- It is easy to complicate a simple concept to sound smart. It is more effective to simplify a complicated concept. How many times have you seen an explainer video where you leave having learned nothing? With a client such as Influencer, or you, we don’t allow that to be the case. ✌
💸 How should artists be funded directly by their fans? The Floor needed us to create a video for their website that explained their creator funding platform. 🖌️ The ultimate hub for content creators of all creative disciplines, The Floor connects artists with their fans more intimately via a subscription model, allowing their work to be funded, and their audiences to receive exclusive content from their favourite creators. After being inspired by the Clarks ad “Clarks and Jamaica”, we found the best approach would be to interview three ambassadors on their experience with The Floor, and its impact on their work, spawning from a simple question; “What does your craft mean to you?”. 🎥 We used the RED 6K Cinema camera to make sure the quality was top of the line and added the filmic grading in post-production to give it the “Lo-Fi look”. 🤩 We used some camera trickery on-set such as the use of ultra-wide and kaleidoscope lenses to give the video some flare. 📺 We collected and used over 100 props on three custom designed and built sets, with cinema-grade lighting and colour grading to add to the warm, cosy feel of the video. ⏰ Throughout the 16 hours of on-set shooting, we captured 120 minutes of footage with enough footage left over to create alternative edits and extra marketing material. 🖥️ After 174 hours of post-production including audio mixing, music, colour grading, VFX and so on, we sent the 100-second video to The Floor with extra footage and photography for alternative marketing material. 🌯 And that’s a wrap.
What do we actually do? 🤔 We make videos, sure, but what does that even entail? Anyone can shoot a video on their iPhone, iPad, iMac, I know, you know, we all know. Our response? Clarity. Simple.
