How do you influence people to watch your explainer video?
Here are 3 things we do when making an explainer video.
(Using our work for Influencer, one of the worlds largest influencer marketing agencies in the world, as an example.)
Keep it Efficient ⏰ - Value your viewers time and patience and get straight to the point. Like an elevator pitch, we explained Influencers entire business in 90 seconds.
Keep it Engaging 🤠- A recent study showed that attention spans went from 12 seconds in 2000, to 8 seconds today. Be creative with your shots and animations to keep your viewers eyes on you.
Keep it Clear 💎- It is easy to complicate a simple concept to sound smart. It is more effective to simplify a complicated concept.

💸 How should artists be funded directly by their fans?
The Floor needed us to create a video for their website that explained their creator funding platform.
🖌️ The ultimate hub for content creators of all creative disciplines, The Floor connects artists with their fans more intimately via a subscription model, allowing their work to be funded, and their audiences to receive exclusive content from their favourite creators.
After being inspired by the Clarks ad “Clarks and Jamaica”, we found the best approach would be to interview three ambassadors on their experience with The Floor, and its impact on their work, spawning from a simple question; “What does your craft mean to you?”.
🎥 We used the RED 6K Cinema camera to make sure the quality was top of the line and added the filmic grading in post-production to give it the “Lo-Fi look”.
🤩 We used some camera trickery on-set such as the use of ultra-wide and kaleidoscope lenses to give the video some flare.
📺 We collected and used over 100 props on three custom designed and built sets, with cinema-grade lighting and colour grading to add to the warm, cosy feel of the video.
⏰ Throughout the 16 hours of on-set shooting, we captured 120 minutes of footage with enough footage left over to create alternative edits and extra marketing material.
🖥️ After 174 hours of post-production including audio mixing, music, colour grading, VFX and so on, we sent the 100-second video to The Floor with extra footage and photography for alternative marketing material.
