Some exciting news to share this sunny Friday afternoon! Miloco are thrilled to announce that we have taken over the lease of the legendary Battery Studios complex.. We’ve got some big plans for the studios and are looking forward to embarking on the next chapter in their incredible history! Miloco have been involved in Studio 2 for a number of years, but taking on the entire building offers a unique opportunity for us, especially given the fact that both studios will remain fully equipped with Flood and Alan’s gear, giving clients total freedom to immerse themselves in these two incredible producers’ creative spaces.
The first step was to give Battery Studio 1 a makeover which is now complete (swipe ⏩ to take a look) and the studio is now ready to swing into sessions! Alan said: “When I decided to make my mix room available commercially, I didn’t have to think about who was going to take care of it. We’ve had a long relationship in the building with Miloco; I’ve always been very impressed with the way they run studios and have a great personal relationship with all the people there." With new carpets already down in Battery Studio 2 as well, and lots more exciting ideas in the pipeline, there’s never been a better time to record at Battery!
Operations Director at Miloco, Pete Hofmann said: "We are so excited to be fully taking over the Battery Studio complex. 20 years ago we made it Miloco's ethos to keep studios open in what was a tricky climate and we continue to build on that today. We have already completed renovations in Studio 1 and have some exciting plans to expand the facilities throughout the complex in the coming months. The provenance of these studios is phenomenal and while in the past, they’ve been kept fairly private, we are so excited to give more people the opportunity to work in Alan’s superb mix room and discover some of the magic that’s led to so many hit records!”
