It’s a big question but one I have been thinking about for over a year now. I haven’t been using external lenses for about 2 years now - the only exemption is using an anamorphic lens. I’m also excited to see what come with when they launch the new DOF adapter but overall do external lenses have a future in mobile filmmaking. The iPhone 15 pro max has a 2x and 5x telephoto lens that is getting better and better - also I use the Sony Xperia with its 85mm-105mm lens which is pretty good but still needs some work - I guess what I’m getting at is that the way new phones are being designed I see less of a reason to have external lenses in my kit. I would be interested to hear what you have to say ? What’s your experience ?
